Ouch, Spaling's hit looked pretty bad.

Refs are letting them play but Salo buries Spaling's head into the endboards at top end speed. You have to call that. Unreal

Ladies and gents:

I've been a Nashville Predators fan a long time. I've stuck with the team through all our previous playoff exits, remained optimistic throughout all of it.

In the big scheme of things I haven't been able to do as much as most other Predator fans. Heck as everyone around here knows I've never even been to Tennessee before. That doesn't diminish my love for the team, organization, fans and city.

I'm loving this right now. We're right in this. We've got twenty minutes left to win this and bring the fight back to Nashville for another day.

Unlike previous seasons, I ain't nervous. I know the team can do it.

Twenty minutes to step up and give Nashville another home game.

I've never been more proud to be a Nashville Predators fan.

You have to call the hit on Spaling. You absolutely have to. I get that you are swallowing the whistle. Players are holding sticks, diving, hooking, etc., but when you have that brutal of a hit to a guys head....you make the call, especially when he leaves hurt.

There's calls that should've been made, and then there's intent to injure. This isn't one of those you can write off with the old "both sides" argument. This was 5 minutes and a suspension caliber.

I like this mentality from the refs being reported on CBC. There are way too many dives or embellishments. It's embarrassing to the game, so why call anything. Unless ofcourse there's intent to injure as mentioned above. The best team should win, period.

Salo isn't that kind of player. Looked accidental to me. Should have been a penalty, but Salo is a pretty gentle guy. A penalty, but I honestly don't think he was trying to kill Spaling.

Fine game for the refs to swallow their whistles. Nashville getting away with a lot, but Canucks have gotten away with significantly more tonight.

I don't like this type of hockey. I don't want it how it was right after the lockout either but a happy medium would be nice. The way this game is going, everybody is crosschecking, holding, interfering, etc. Guys can't even move and either get knocked down or thrown off balance. It's a battle but it takes away a lot of the skill in the game. I know that might favor us but I'm still against it.

That's what's up. What a play by Fisher, and a hell of a finish by Ward.

I'd agree I don't think it was Salo's intent and I don't believe he is a dirty player but the way that hit happened was questionable. You are responsible for your actions on the ice. I'm not asking for the guy to get suspended or anything but at the very least 2 minutes has got to be called there.

I said it before and I'll say it again, Ward is our best player not named Rinne, bar none. He's a champ.

Ward's been amazing.

Now just shut them out. I don't care if the Preds won't score another goal today. Just keep them away from the goal.
