Did anyone manage to catch the Norway game? I notice that JJ was on the ice for Norways two first period goals. Im not one to jump to conclusions but this sounds a little familiar. I am just wondering if his play directly resulted in Norways goals.

I watched the game. Neither of the goals looked to me like they were JJs fault. The first goal, the Norway player had the puck down in the corner and jammed his way to the front of net, and the puck squeaked past Montoya. And the second goal was a shorty for Norway. I cant remember if the puck took a bad bounce or if it was a bad pass, but to me it looked like the puck bounced past Fowler and the Norway guy picked it up and got out on the breakaway.

I was doing a care plan for one of my classes at the time, so i wasnt paying the closest attention...

Did you watch the Swedish game ZJames? I notice JJ managed to stay even with the most ice time.

I didnt. I wanted to, but i was helping my girlfriend out in the nursery at church, and my family had loaded up the DVR with other shows, so i wasnt able to record it.

This is just my impression, but it seems to me that Jack will play good defensively for a short span of games. Beginning to middle of the season i thought he played very well both offensively, and in his own zone. but he really fell off the last part of the season. and he seems to play pretty good in olympic and tournament play. Im wondering if he has not made the full adjustment yet to playing 80+ games a year as compared to college where he would only play 30-40 games a year.

As a whole, im not too worried about JJ. I think his game is always going to have a degree of risk to it, but he has shown steady improvement. I think he is going to be a very good 2nd pairing Dman with potential to be a top pairing guy. (If Jack doesnt fill that spot, hopefully Deslauriers or Forbert will fill that 1b position for a long time to come)

It's looking like Bernier won't be seeing any action unless it's mop up time. Hitchcock seems to be riding Reimer at this point.

Reimer was actually really good for them, if they ended up sneaking into the playoffs it would of mainly been because of his play. Problem for Bernier was he didn't arrive till after the second game for Canada so he didn't really ave a chance to show Hitchcock what he's got.

So Bernier did indeed get playing time yesterday vs Norway.

Apparently he's starting tmrw vs Sweden as well and then Hitchcock will decide between Reimer and him to play in the quarterfinal's.

That's good news. I want Bernier to succeed as much as the next guy. The more experience he gets, the better.

One of these years I hope Kings players can't play in this tournament because they are too busy. 2 things that I've noticed are the rink is too big and the refs look ridiculous with ads on them.
