Yeah, but we have a glut of defenseman, here we clean up a spot on D, and get a potentially dangerous player who would work wonders with Parise I feel.

I'd rather trade White for prospect(s) (preferably defensemen) who are 2-3 years away from NHL duty. Or picks of course.

Aside from the fact that White plays in just about everygame and is a big physical presence, is he really worth a prospect like Cammalleri? I'm only saying this because I haven't really seen him play.

I would think Cammalleri would have more value, but I would have thought Aulin would have had more value than Carter. Hanging around HF'll do that to ya I guess.

He won't provide much offense, but he is a decent enough 2nd pairing defenseman. Definitely works a lot better with a defenseman who can move the puck. The Colin White - Sean O'Donnell pairing was quite possibly the ugliest thing I've ever seen.

Not quite sure what Lou has planned, since nobody seems to know what's going on with Scott Stevens.

White is exactly what LA needs. If it costs Cammalleri than fine...we just signed a bigger better version in Tambellini. Every draft pick is an asset. While Cammy is a good asset to LA, he may be a good one to NJ as well.

How about:

To LA: Colin White
To NJ: Mike Cammalleri + pick
Umm didn't Miller sign a 4 year contract at the trade deadline in March of 03? That means he's under contract for next year as well. 03-04, 04-05 wiped out by the lockout, 05-06 coming up and then 06-07.

Only if the rumour of Tambellini being signed is true, would I trade Cammy. Only for a defensemen, the Kings are stacked with forwards. Klatt or Armstrong should be moved first over Cammy. I'd give up Cammy to get Redden even if Tambellini isn't signed.

i find that fair i dont think that warrents a 1ster, maybe cams an a 2nd rounder for white is fair

white is an established top 4 NHLer and still is coming into his prime, cams is still unproven, scoring in the AHL and the NHL are 2 very different things, you all are saying hes gonna be a star (i think he'll be a solid 2nd liner borderline 1st liner) but he could still end up being a dud

i believe redden will be a UFA next year. if so, the kings should just wait to get him.
