Frolov

How many points do you see him tallying in 05/06, if he were to play 82 games?

With the Kings.

BTW, how is his contract negotiations going? And what line do you expect him to play on next year?

If he and the rest of the team stays relatively healthy, I can definitely see 66-70 points. The new rule changes should help him, sure, not as much as others, but he can move, and if the clutching and grabbing is called, he should really be an even bigger talent to be reckoned with.

With his puck possession skills, he will definitely benefit from the lack of obstruction, providing that it is enforced.

I voted, but I don't think they play 82 games at Omsk.

Does anybody know what Frolov is doing. Is he not coming back over here and if so why?

That, my friend, is the 4 years at $20m ($5m/season) question.

You can be sure that is what his agent is whispering in his ears when it comes to DT and the Kings.

IMO, he's history.

I really hope you're wrong and that Alex has more character than that. He hasn't proven anything yet, why should he be getting paid more than 2.5-3m (which is still too much) per season?

I understand why Mclean paid Nash so much, the kid has shown that he can be the top goal scorer in the league. If Frolov hadd ddone that, sure, give him Palffy money. So far, he's not there.

If Alex really expects that kind of contract, I hope he enjoys freezing his ass off and playing against second rate players in russia.

For all the talk though, I have yet to see any article/quote/whatever to show that Frolov is demanding an insane contract.

With the new rules and linemates who can play he should be approaching the point a game mark. Learning from guys like Demitra, Roenick and Conroy can only help.

I agree, I have to asume Frolov-Roenick-Demitra will be our top line, which I believ should make Afro one of the top point getters on our team.
