Kesler ran Rinne, so who on our team is gonna run Lu?

Lots of calls already, big difference from the last game.

I would really like it if we could score on the powerplay.

Or just in general. I don't like this 2 goal defecit, especially considering how difficult it's been for us to get more than 2 goals a game..

Wasn't Nonis whining about the lack of calls?

I love O'Brien's mentality with the puck. "I can totally shoot it through those two Canucks in front of me." Or, even better, "I can score from that tremendously bad angle. All I have to do is shoot it right at the goalie's chest!"

We just look a little flat. We're getting chances, but we haven't converted yet. If we can pull one back quickly at the start of the second, then we've got a hockey game; otherwise, our sticks might as well be putters.

All this game is going to take is one goal by the Preds, and it's going to get real. Also please run Luongo! At the very least, give him a snow (and slush) shower of epic proportions.

Agreed about SOB. Saw 2-3 different times where he clearly could have passed it but decided to try to shoot it through two Canucks.

Agreed though, we've had chances and a few bad bounces. Just keep it simple and get pucks on net, and I agree with the Versus guys, Weber needs to start firing more bombs, make those Canucks decide if they want to try to block said bombs.

How ironic, the one period where we've doubled the Canucks' shots we go down 2-0... I feel like our team is better when we're being outchanced.

I hate that play and I hate even more that it seemed to work. Kesler gushing makes it all the worse.

At this point, between the Preds and the Rangers, I'd sell a few organs for a big powerplay goal. I haven't seen one since the Gretzky-Messier-Leetch combo back in '97

Rinne did seem to be a bit out of it after that. After giving up those two goals though I'm hoping he can get his head back into it. Screw Kesler.

Partner:

For anyone who didn't see Coach's Corner on the CBC feed, Bieksa put up a sign in the locker room saying "No Predators, Except Partner" to which Cherry said "We all know who that is, it's Shane O'Brien". C'mon Don.

We have to score at least one goal in this period to have any sort of a chance IMO.

Oops, didn't realize you aren't forced to watch the god-awful CBC feed (lucky), edited the post to include the back story.

I personally think the CBC doesn't do enough homework. They had ZERO clue about the Tootoo whistles for example.
