Detroit just had a Philly moment...They dominate play, SJ gets one freaking chance and scores a weird goal off it.

If Niemi had played like this last year, the Finals would have been embarassing.

lol *Shows last goal on Michael Leighton* You forgot apparently

I find Niemi has always been incredibly up and down. He's moody like my girlfriend.

Finally got around to watching hockey again after the Flyers got embarassed and caught the Wings/Sharks game. Super exciting game. Complete different brand of hockey and effort from both teams than what the Flyers displayed.

I'm sorry but all these teams coming back after being down 3-0 is starting to really piss me off. To be honest, if Chicago came back I probably wouldn't have been that mad, but I refuse to see Detroit do what we did last year.

I mean it's like that Franchise hasn't already accomplished so much in their history they have to go out and make sure they come back from being down 3-0 as well.

The next time I wanna see a team coming back after being down 3-0 is 35 years from now, it just wont feel as special if everyone else keeps doing it...especially Detroit...

I donno, if it has to be any team, i'm glad its them. If it were say...Pittsburgh or perhaps a really ****** team...then i'd be concerned.

Detroit is the best ran organization in the NHL.

To each his own I guess...I honestly just don't wanna see them add another thing to the never ending list of accomplishes that they already have...

If Detroit pulls this off they wont ever stop shoving it down our throats...I can already see the headlines now

Well, you know how SJ has that reputation as playoff chokers? Yeah. This would pretty much cement that.

My best friend is a big Detroit fan and we were saying this exact thing tonight. It honestly would look very bad for that team, it's essentially the last thing they would want to happen. I would go as far to say it would look worse than a sweep.

They would pretty much be the Anti-Detroit. They would be a dynasty of choke.

If the Sharks choke this series away I dont see how Wilson and the core of that team can continue to be brought back

But it was Nabokov's fault.

Ahh May, the time of year when Spring is starting and the Sharks are choking in the playoffs.

That's what I'm thinking. So my question is, once they blow this, what changes do they make? I guarantee they will make changes - there is no way a team with their choking history AND after blowing a 3-0 series can keep the team together. Every off-season they are on the brink of blowing the team up - what CAN they do? Aren't they hindered by big contracts?

I figured we'd get through at least one full season as the last team to come back from down 3-0 and win. Go Sharks!

On one hand I hate the Red Wings and like the Sharks. I also don't want a potential 0-3 comeback to overshadow our own. On the other hand, this would cement the SJ reputation as playoff chokers and it would be utterly hilarious.

Can't decide which is better.

I never understood why SJ fans felt that Nabokov had to go or was the problem.

So once they lose, what changes do they make? Can they even trade one of Boyle, Thornton, Marleau or Heatley? Do they have NMC? Would anyone take them with their hefty contracts? I'd go try to trade with Toronto. They'll be smitten with the chance for a big name player.

They needed an excuse, the coach was already gone...what now? He has let in some soft goals in the playoffs, but still, their offense was seemingly flat too.

I'm interested to see what transpires if they lose, because it will be the ultimate choke.

Honestly, their star players are fine. They just need to fine-tune the rest of the roster. That defense isn't all that strong on paper and some of their younger guys are just starting to come into their own (Setoguchi, Demers, and Pavelski namely).

If they decide to send off another scapegoat then all four of those players would get good returns and none of them are all that young. Thornton would make the most sense to go though considering that he's been the biggest constant throughout the seasons and he's likely going to go on the decline soon (yes, I understand that's a bit presumptuous on my part).

I understand that they needed a scapegoat, I just don't understand why they chose Nabokov nor why the fan-base harbored so much ill-will for Nabokov.

SJ needs to upgrade their defense, and honestly it may have to come via a trade where either Seto or someone like that goes the other way.

JvR still leads the playoffs in goals (along with Briere) and shots by 15
