for what the flyers are going to have to do to manage the cap, he would essentially have to be signed at league min.

Is Carcillo gonna score 35 goals this time?

Sweet Jesus.

He freaking played less than half a season with us. He was never even given a chance to "go anywhere".

yeah I do. I know what he brings. It never is going to happen because Holmgren has already has Rinaldo penciled in on the 4th line in place of Carcillo. IMO
Honestly I would consiter Konopka if we didnt have Shelley and Rinaldo stayed in the AHL

Carcillo will and should be gone and be replaced by Rinaldo, unless Danny takes a hefty pay-cut.

I wouldn't mind it too much if he returned with a salary cut for next year. I'm not that fond of him, but there are worse 4th line players out there.

The same kind of goes for a guy like Nödl as well. I don't mind him being resigned, but he should be on a close to league minimum contract really.

If they both signed a 700k contract like Betts has I'd be ok with that... If they want much more than that they can be replaced, either by some UFA's or perhpas within the organization.

Cheap UFA's that might be of interest to me could be Boyd Gordon (solid faceoff guy who is good on the pk, kind of Jim Dowdish as a player, he's been injured a bit too often so far in his career perhaps however) and Cody McCormick who was pretty good for Buffalo I thought. He's a hardnosed guy who has turned his career around after a year down in the AHL. McCormick on a line with Lappy in Colorado a few years ago and I believe he picked up on a thing or two from him. Both Gordon and McCormick should come in around the 700k salary I think, perhaps even cheaper.

Please, no. First off keep Carcillo? Timonen and Carter gone? I would love to have Bryzgalov but Kaberle? Kaberle has done nothing for the Bruins since they traded for him.

Carcillo, for the role he plays, is just fine. You're not asking this guy to go get you 30 goals a year, you're asking him to be an agitator.

For all you know-everythings out there..he performed better in the playoffs in his role than Jeff Carter, Kimmo Timonen, Scott Hartnell, Kris Versteeg, and Matt Carle did in theirs.

Dan Carcillo also was not the problem on this team or even a problem. Why this guy gets so much heat is beyond me.

He performs his role well. Would be happy to welcome him back.

BTW This is The Philadelphia Flyers.

We play a certain style of hockey that happens to involve physicality and toughness.

If you don't like it, then you don't have to watch.

Bring back Dan Carcillo!

Yeah he's been absolutely horrible.

3 assists, a +5, sets up the power play and he's having a down playoffs for him. Anybody playing Boston better pray that he doesn't find his rhythm.

Kaberle is Flyers Savior and Timonen (1 goal, 5 assist, team leading +3) should be gone, right??

aside from the dumb penalty that he took in game 4 (not that it mattered anyways), I thought he played well in the playoffs. Howver, we should move on without him

Timonen was atrocious.

I watched him give possession away twice in one shift yet, on the official stats it didn't count as giveaways, even though, he clearly gave possession away twice.

He was so bad it defied description.

Absolutely awful on the power play, he had trouble keeping the puck in.

Looked lost and confused at times, was clueless on the pass from Coburn that wound up costing us a game.

Get him out of here asap.

Carcillo gets bashed way too much in my opinion. He's a quality fourth liner, but he just happens to be a bit overpaid. I wouldn't mind him back at a pay cut, but otherwise I'd let him walk and replace him with someone that can bring more to the table, a la Konopka.

I think people here are a bit tough on Carcillo because of what we got rid of to bring him in. I wouldn't mind him coming back if he was cheap enough. I'd rather him over Rinaldo and Shelley.

How abut because Kaberle doesn't give the puck away twice on one shift like Kimmo does.

How about because Kimmo in less games played, has committed more than twice the number of penalties Kaberle has?

How about because Kaberle is much more stable both physically and mentally?

Do these count in your opinion?

you wont like Kaberle. Yes, he puts up points, but the guy is not very solid defensively. He's never thrown a hit in his NHL career

How would you know? This is Kaberle's first playoffs since the lockout.
