that's too bad for Fro. We won't miss him here. He really needs an Anze Kopitar to elevate his game. He will probably get lots of money playing in the KHL. with the lack of taxes, probably 4x what he'd get here and more playing time and it's his home so he's probably gonna happier overall.
Had decent hopes for Frolov, it just wasn't meant to be. Wasn't a problem when he was here at all, just couldn't score. Expected him to sign in Russia. Best of luck and thanks for the wraparound trophy, Fro.
Frolov didn't play bad as a Ranger. I thought he fit into the system very well, he just couldn't produce.
Itīs the same as with Higgins in my eyes. Him and Frolov arenīt bad players, they just couldnīt produce in the big apple. Look @ Higgins, good in MTL and even now in Vancouver he has 3 PO Goals and plays some good hockey. Frolov was strong in LA but not for us. Kinda sad, but then thereīs the question why he btw. both struggled here, just curious about it...
I think heīs gonna be a good addition for Omsk and will again start to score there. As someone said before, thereīs more room on the ice for him and stuff.
thought has was a solid but unspectacular player and was hoping he could settle in a contribute. some players just can't play the grind it out style that it appears we are going with....which is not a bad thing.
He should do well, he's more physical than most in that league. I didn't mind Frolov, I was amazed at how badly snakebitten he was. He played well...he was great in the corners, no slouch in his own zone. Wish him the best, it just didn't work out here.
