im actually going there just to walk around and check it out again tomorrow, gotta buy a sweathshirt too, im sick of a pen being my only TCNJ apparel lol
Sorry not to derail this thread to much but you may not want to go there tomorrow It's going to be crazy busy around campus all day because they have not only the main ceremonies but department ceremonies as well.
I would go on Monday unless you were going for the festivities lol.
If this is true I will be as excited as the next guy, but with no link I find it hard to believe the NHL would do two markets so close to eachother. Would anybody on the west coast care about this matchup?
I am selfish and just want a friggin WC already, it's sad we haven't been there yet!!
I really wish the Rangers were the home team, imagine the goal song being sang by 50,000-80,000 people???

Per phillyBurbs.com, NHL source confirms Rangers-Flyers at Citizen's Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia on Jan. 2 for Winter Classic.
It should definitely be in New York. But I look at it this way...
I'm a huge Mets fan. The Rangers and Mets are far and away my two favorite sports teams. The Phillies and Flyers are far and away my two most hated sports teams. If I could see the Rangers beat the Flyers on the Phillies field for the Winter Classic with millions watching.... I almost shed a tear just thinking about the sheer awesomeness of that happening.

ot: that was one of the best bowl games of the bowl season which unfortunately a ref would up deciding due to causing a 17 yard 2-point conversion for the tie
Don't care. I don't want to see teams like 'Cuse and K State in place of the WC.
... but the Pinstripe Bowl has a contract through 2013 so I guess the Yankees would rather take the revenue from 2011 + 2012 + 2013 that they make from the Pinstripe Bowl instead of just one year's worth of revenue they'd make from the WC.
How about they do it on January 1st but at night around 8pm? NBC just shows the Winter Classic and instead Sunday Night Football. America's focus would be completely done with football by the time the game starts.

Just my idea.
I don't think they have Sunday Night Football the final week of the season. It's all 1 and 4 P.M. games so that idea could work.

the eagles play home at 1pm on jan 1st. by the time that game is over and the stadium is emptied it'll be like 5pm...there is no way they could put together the whole rink, freeze the ice etc in 3 hours...
in fact i'm shocked that they can even get it ready by the next day. in past years haven't they had week(s) to get things ready?
