Timonen had a number of un-Timonen-like moments this season. His positioning on the pass leading up to the Bruin goal was spotty, since he should have known it would be hugging the boards, and the way he was standing with his back to the boards, he had to awkwardly turn and made the play harder than it should be.

That being said, I still think Timonen is a very good anchor for the second pairing on this team, and he had better be part of this team next season.

Guess what? I was right and everyone was wrong.

I also know this....when I make a statement about a player, team, management decision, etc., etc., I have no agenda.

Absolutely none.

I call it exactly how I really see it.

I'm not some fanboy who makes esoteric arguments to try to defend my favorite player. Or come up with some goofy statistic to try to prove my argument.

I say what I mean and mean what I say.

No agendas.

And I GUARANTEE you one thing.....

there ain't too many other people in here you can say that about.
You are unique in your consistently incorrect statements, yes.

Well guess what?

At a 7.250 mil salary and a cap hit of 6.333 mil this year F excuses.
The puck bounces over and/or gets by guys on wrap arounds all the time... Yet you think it is some amazing event. Telling.

I saw it happen to Lidstrom a few times during these playoffs. He's bad, I guess.

Find me one person who was entirely comfortable with the Flyers goaltending going into playoffs. Please. Other than the Leighton fanboys, who aren't worth discussing.

I can guarantee you that you weren't alone on an island.

Yeah, at the beginning of the season most people here were going, "...ummmm" over our goaltending situation.

HAHA!

This is funny coming from you.

You've posted some of the most moronic comments I can remember.

For example....

1) There is no such thing as clutch.

2) Kimmo Timonen was our best defender this year.

3) All players revert back to mean.

4) NFL QBs of the 80s and 90s can't be considered modern day Qbs.

5) Traditional NFL offenses can't be considered modern.

6) The teams of today would easily defeat the teams of the recent past easily due to the newer schemes.

I could go one Jester but some arguments are so ridiculous they speak for themselves.

On top of that, your ego is so huge you don't have the ability to admit when you're wrong.

Must suck to be you.

To put it another way, Timonen is worth at least twice as much as Carle. Yet he makes less than twice Carles cap hit. He's actually a bargain!

1. There is no such thing as clutch. I'm sorry the stuff proving this is above your reading level.

2. He was.

3. They do. That is why it is their mean performance in the first place.

4. Dude, pretty much nothing that is twenty years old is modern.

5. If they are modern, why do we call them traditional? Think about it.

6. They would... A team from 15 years ago would have to adjust (modernize) to what teams are throwing at 'em.

Your post is a massive fail job, btw.

Enough of these shenanigans.

No one is changing anyone else's opinions, and most shouldn't be anyways. One guy thinks Timonen sucks, and the rest of the planet doesn't.

Once again... get familiar with a simple Site Rule:

Quote:
Flaming: Do not post any messages that harass, insult (name calling), belittle, threaten or mock other members. Debates are fine, but critique the opinion, not the person. Personal attacks are not permitted. Do not use sweeping generalizations and plural pronouns to cloak personal attacks. For example if a poster(s) states that he thinks 'x' is a good idea, replying that "Anyone who supports 'x' is an idiot" is a personal attack. Do not start threads to call out and embarrass other members; or make posts about ignore lists. Quotes by other members are not to be edited. You may reply to a partial quote, but do not change the quoted content in any way. No one likes to be misrepresented or have words put in their mouth.
