One Year Ago Today

Despite what happened vs. the Bruins this year, they don't have this:

That series--that final game in particular--and that feeling of euphoria is going to be something that sticks with me for the rest of my life. Don't have a better Flyers memory. Damn shame we couldn't have won the Cup. That run would've been unbeatable.

That series will go down in history as one of the greatest series of hockey ever played. Just after the buzzer went, and lavy just let all his emotion out.

The biggest regret these athletes will ever have is game 6. That group was special, and they deserved better from their goaltender. They deserved a cup.

Euphoria is the closest word to describe what I felt at the Wachovia Center that night. The place was electric and the game was being played 500 miles away.

Had we won the cup that year, they wouldve made a movie about that run.

That game is my favorite hockey memory. It even beat team Sweden winning the gold in 06.
It was such an insane spring. That series was the worst rollercoaster of emotions I've had during hockey.
Down 3-0 in game seven, I was so depressed and just sat on the table in front of my tv...
Bleh.
Amazing memories though....

Haha that's awesome. This is a fun idea. I wonder who would play everyone else from the team?

Sean Bean as Kimmo Timonen

it is something I will never, ever forget. Watching Gagne score that goal still gives me goose bumps.

I was at game 7. Can't believe it was a year ago already. I've seen a no-hitter...I've seen the Phillies win the NL. I've seen the Eagles win the NFCCG...that was the best game I have ever been to in my life.

was it just me or were all 3 goals through leightons 5 hole... the second one may have been under the arm, but 2 of the 3 were definately 5 hole. inexcusable weak goals. forgiven at the time because we won, but still soft.

I think Lucic himself put two five-hole on Leighton. It was awful.

That was my best memory of the Flyers up till now. Just being able to watch it with everyone here and on Facebook and being the lone Flyer fan among my friends, my mom even was cheering for them, a couple of my other friends were cheering for them, I was getting emails and text messages from friends and clients once they started to score and after the game, TSN's panel was so giddy about what they just did, it was just phenomenal to be a part of.

Nah, that guy who played Ryan in "The Office" would be better. BJ Novak, I think.

Stallone is a good Shelley.

What was that you say? Shelley wasn't on the team?

I don't care.

Highs and lows of being a fan. That year was one hell of a roller coaster.

That Gagne goal is second only to Brad Lidge's final strikeout in the 2008 world series to me. That was a great run last year that I will never forget!
