Granlund? I only took him with our first in Canuckdrives mock last year

Can't believe we missed out on Granlund and Skinner just so we could lose out on the playoffs last game of season.

Immonen is on fire. Gotta wonder if a team may give him a shot in the NHL because of his performance in this tourney

Just saw the goal on NHL Live before. What a ****ing play.

Someone brought it up on the WC board. Why isn't this attempted more in the NHL outside of it being "classless"? If you can get the puck off the ice like that, it could be really effective.

Most. I'm not saying to attempt it every time but when Matt Gilroy's out there....

I'd love to see us nab Fasth on a two-way.

I'm not optimistic about Missiaen, Johnson, or Stajcer at this point. And the fact that Talbot was being outperformed by DGM does not bode well for him either.

Give Fasth a year in Hartford, and we'll see how he does in the NA game. Could be a diamond in the rough, and maybe a replacement backup for Biron down the road.

I'm seeing all this stuff on Viktor Fasth, but why would he leave Sweden to sign a 2-way deal with an NHL club he has no chance to start for, and wouldn't even be second on the depth chart?

It doesn't make sense for him the way I see it.

Fasth has been quoted to want a one-way contract, with a guaranteed salary. If that's out of the question for NYR, he probably won't sign here.

I'm sure RB can verify this, but his age makes it so he doesn't have to sign a 2-way, therefore, it will be one way or nothing.

The bronze game isn't on Versus right now, and that game isn't on the guide either.

Versus sucks. They're too busy airing Lacrosse at that time.

Jagr said at the end of the bronze medal game that he won't be playing in Russia next season and then he mused about coming back to play in the NHL. He specifically talked about Pittsburgh, Montreal and the Rangers.

If he comes back I like Pitts chances to get him much more than the Rangers, but we could get lucky haha.

I can't see him coming back here. If he's coming back why not play with Crosby and Malkin, better chance to win than this team. Also if the Rangers are hell bent on Richards how can they fit Jagr and Richards under the cap? Another variable, Jagr/Torts is an AWFUL mix. Torts gets on guys for dogging it, how is he going to deal with a moody Jagr?

I'm sure Jagr would play as hard as he could. Atleast as hard as Drury played when he did. I don't think he will come here but I can see why he would. Maybe he wants to come and see how his little buddies Dubi and Hank are doing?
