Pass. Blum got called up and immediately started playing like our 3rd best defender, he's only going to get better.

Not that I wouldn't do this deal, but we need Kadri, lol.

OP doesn't have a clue as to Toronto's needs. Kadri's upside is bigger than Blum and Tornoto NEEDS forwards. Doesn't mean he will be the better player BUT Leafs certainly aren't looking to trade his potential.

Can you put just one second of thought into it before posting? Just one second.

Kadri has not done anything at the NHL level yet, where as Blum just looked great for Nashville in the playoffs. He was very poised and calm in his own zone, and has very good offensive potential that will come with time. Nashville says no in a heartbeat.

Not that Blum isn't going to be fantastic, but Toronto doesn't do this. We're very short on offense and it makes zero sense to trade Kadri, unless he's part of a package for an 80 - 100 pt, playmaking center.

Terrible proposal.

Don't take it so personally, you aren't the only one parading Kadri through the proposals forum. I can't figure out the logic behind trading our best prospect for a player that doesn't fill any holes.

I also don't understand why so many Leafs fans are posting proposals at all, it's pretty clear that the fanbases of the leagues other 29 teams are totally unresponsive to any deal involving the Leafs.... so why bother?

The bottom line is this: Toronto needs a playmaking #1 center, and any deal involving our best prospect will be a deal that addresses this need. Kadri will not be moved for a top 10 draft pick, or a defensive prospect, or a 2-way player rich in intangibles. We need offense, and we need it now.

So true about the 29 other fanbases and really the recent trades of Kabs,Beauch,White ,Stajan ,Versteeg have shown that HF fanboys are really clueless of the value of Leaf players.
That said there are a ton of horrible Leaf proposals on here.

I'd say both sides pass. Blum is an NHL ready prospect who's having an immediate impact on a team that's ready to compete now and Kadri is the best offensive prospect on a team who's biggest need is offense and is still a ways away from truly being able to compete.
