You shouldn't be able to bat a puck out of midair into the net either, thats baseball not hockey.

Shame on you, that's where rumors start.

That Granlund goal has been scored 1000 times before, at all levels right down to peewee.

It amazes me it isnt tried more often in the NHL though. There are certainly times when there are time and space for it. I think players just fear the consequences on their next shift of pulling something like that.

I can understand the reluctance to spill. Pellegrino has an excellent track record of being right, but he gets hassle because its not official (Just look at his previous posts). Pellegrino >>>>> Garrioch > Eklund

I agree.
I work with a guy who hangs out on HFboards and he said people were flipping out for that goal.
It was pretty epic but it's not on the same level as Nash vs Phoenix or Ovechkin on his back.

Wow, TSN is tape delaying the Gold medal game (to 4:30) so they can show the lacrosse championship of all things.

Nothing more exciting than watching tape delayed sporting events!

Well done TSN!

Silfverberg and Rundblad have been outstanding so far in the gold medal game, creating great chances everytime there on the ice

Ugg. I typed in Team Finland to see the roster and the news results come up "Finland wins the Championship 6-1"

Ruined it for me.

Yeah I saw the score scrolling down HF as the GDT was the most recent thread in the international tournament section... Tape delays suck.

Love Silfverberg's ability to come away with the puck each and every time there is a scrum for it along the boards.

Reminds me of Alfie and Datsyk in that regard....

Easy to see as well that Martz has told Rundblad to hold back offensively and take no risks...

Silfverberg had a pretty good game. Seemed like every time Sweden had a decent opportunity in the offensive zone, his line was on the ice.
