That might be the best line I've heard a coach say for a Sens team (Ottawa or Bingo). I don't know if he'd have that kind of command in the NHL but wow.

Any news on whether or not Silvermountain and Roundleaf will join the Sens after tomorrow's WC finals?

I would be absolutely shocked if either one came over this year. It's not like their coming from somewhere in North America like Cowen did, their over in Europe and as well would be coming over to play in NA for the first time joining a team in the thick of the playoffs. They have also played a lot of hockey and if I remember correctly there was talk of Rundblad being banged up in the SEL playoffs, so I think it is a long shot at best either is in Bingo next week.

I think someone should do an analysis of how many players in the NHL at the forward position put up 32 points and 15 goals in 64 games (a 41 point, 20~ goal pace) with 15 - 16 minutes of ice time.

I'd say that 30 - 40 points with fairly average ice-time and 15 - 20 goals is NHL upside. But that's just me.

I have a question to fans who watch the AHL a lot. If Binghamton were able to win this series and advance to the Calder Cup Finals, would you rather play Hamilton or Houston? I'm not sure who's been better this year, matches up better or anything.

What difference does it make? Assuming he signs a 2-way, he'll have his chance to show his stuff in camp. If he can earn a spot he'll play, if not it doesn't matter what he did in EDM.

Something like this?

Mostly 2nd liner players on bad teams or 3rd line players on better teams; Ryan Shannon syndrome.

It's just you.

Does nobody remember how invisible he was when he was given a shot?

Houston would be more fun imo..

I am not sure which team is better however.. New York vs. Texas would be pretty cool, even though travel would be a much bigger pain in the ass.

If we are in the Caulder Cup finals I do not care who the other team is...

I doubt it too & would be very surprised if they play in the AHL playoffs this season. However, I expect both to be at the development camp this summer. I also expect that Silfverberg will sign an entry level deal with Ottawa & be here for the rookie tournament & training camp. Good luck to Sweden this afternoon.

It was very decent when he came over, but it has improved even more since he's been in North America. You can tell he's put an effort into getting rid of the stereotypical Eastern European accent. He had a great billet family in Mississauga who immersed him into their lives, so that no doubt helped with his English.
