Under the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement, the most the Canadiens can pay Yemelin is 1.75 million dollars including bonuses. However, he becomes eligible for salary arbitration next year.
Well Im glad we signed him, Gauthier is in the best position to know if the kid can help us, I just hope he will report to Hamilton if he doesnt make the team.. Personally I think he has some work to do before playing with the Habs but its just my personal opinion.. I hope he doesnt pull a Valentenko if its not working well for him.. I would try to find someone to mentor him if sent down to Hamilton..
Gauthier is definately trying to revamp our blueline, he started it with 2 very good and cheap signings and the rest of the story will be interesting to follow.. With Emelin signed, I guess Markov will resign for something like 2 years I think, about the same money.. I dont know if Wiz will be resigned, we already have Markov and Subban for the PP, Weber and Diaz could play the nsecond wave.. maybe Gauthier will try to get another type of defenseman..

Actually really looking forward to seeing him at camp. I still think this guy has offense written all over him based on what I saw. Albeit that was very little.
If they were going to use of of my compilation they could have at least used the more recent version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyqWB3fLc_E&lc) instead of the one I made of last years playoffs and change the song (which admittedly was a very bad selection lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itnQ3rJ3S00). I knew I should have deleted the older version.
I just hope his game translates as smoothly as possible because we really need some defenseman like him willing to hammer people and ask questions later.
