Thanks, I figured that clause would be in there.

I think Gill coming back is almost a sure thing, same with Markov...If the Habs could sign a good stay-at-home type of dman, to do something like this...

Markov-Hedja
Emelin-Subban
Gill-Gorges
Weber (with Weber alternating with Gill/Emelin)

Then I think the Habs will have a very solid defense next year...

Way to go PG! Hopefully Emelin can translate his game to the NHL level and this signing works out.

Markov-Wiz
Emelin-Subban
Bieksa-Gorges
Spacek-Diaz(start in Hamilton)

Salaries- 5.2 +4.1 + 1.7 + 0.895 + 4.8 + 2.3 + 3.8 =22.785m

Spacek gets move at some point.

Now we have to hope that Martin "gets it"...

Last thing we need is emelin getting sent to Hamilton the minute he struggles, just to watch him understandably bolt for home feeling like he didn't get a fair shot.

The kid will need a little bit of leeway to adjust, learn and get comfortable with the NHL, he'll need more patience than Martin is inclined to show rookies...

Nice.
The second coming of Igor Ulanov, for those who remember him, or something better?

Lets hope he's a lot better than Igor 'Mr. Always Out Of Position, while failing to complete the body check and costing his team odd-man rushes..but we'll keep him because he shoots the puck hard once in a while' Ulanov

If I remember well Ulanov wasn t very quick or agile, unlike Emelin. Will probably need someone to watch his back.

Every time I hear the name Ulanov, it reminds me the time he got a delay of game penalty after he threw the puck out of the play with his hand.

Good one. Though for Brunet, it will be "Le gros bonhomme russe".

Finally, the Emelin saga takes a new direction. Great to see that day. Good job to Gauthier. 2 good signings so far.

nice line up but id switch emelin and gorges. I think Emelin would benefit the most by playing with an experienced d in Gill and he has experience playing right side.

I didn't like what I saw at that jokey tournament they just played. He doesn't look NHL ready to me. Not in any facet of the game. Lots of holes in his game from what I saw. But that is just one tourney. No way this guy can replace Hammer.

I am so frickin happy !!!!!!!!!!!

We have not had a good, mean defenseman in a long time !
Not a chance he's 222. He was thrown around in that tournament any time someone squared up to him.

Edit: Ah... ankle sprain... hopefully that explains things!

I'd like to see examples of players "throwing him around".
