No, why did she say "fail"? That's what I didn't get.

At first, I thought she was calling the cup win a fail....

One of my roommates has a Boxer that is afraid of kittens and soda boxes.. Couldn't even bring my cat over after I moved out in October

Don't want to keep her locked up in my room everyday, I'd feel too bad.

Aww that sucks

Sounds like the Boxer needs a good behaviorist though. Soda boxes is a new one.

Big day today. Man I hope Pears brings home the Hart.

The NHL Facebook poll has him in dead last though. But that's probably because most people are idiots.

Definitely. Have you ever seen the comments most "fans" make on Facebook? They probably don't even know that we're not the Mighty Ducks anymore.

Well deserved

After carrying the Anaheim Ducks to the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, Corey Perry was recognized by being named the Hart Memorial Trophy winner, which is given to the player judged to be the most valuable to his team.

Perry appeared in all 82 games for the Ducks this season and led the club in both goals (50) and points (98). Nineteen of those goals came in the final 16 games of the season as Anaheim finished fourth in the Western Conference.http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?id=1264

Great accomplishment but I would like to see him talk a little more in his acceptance speech. It seemed like the award show had like an extra minute to burn because Perry's speech was so short.

Ducks Press Release
Quote:
Ducks right wing Corey Perry has won the 2010-11 Hart Memorial Trophy as “the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team” during the 2011 NHL Awards Show in Las Vegas. Perry is the first player from a Southern California team to win the Hart Trophy since Hall-of-Famer Wayne Gretzky earned the honor with Los Angeles in 1989. Perry is also just the third player from a California team to win the Hart, joining Gretzky and San Jose’s Joe Thornton (2006).

Perry's Hart Trophy win was announced at the NHL Awards, held tonight at The Pearl Theater at The Palms Las Vegas. Perry won the award with 1,043 points (67 first-place votes, 47 second-place votes, 8 third-place votes, 1 fourth and 1 fifth.) Vancouver's Daniel Sedin finished second with 960 points (51-56-9-4-1).

“Congratulations to Corey Perry on this tremendous accomplishment,” said Executive Vice President/General Manager Bob Murray. “This is a historic day for the Perry family and the entire Anaheim Ducks organization. Corey deserves this terrific honor following a season that defines what the Hart Trophy is all about.”
