I saw them a few years ago and they sucked so bad. I don't know if it was just a bad night but my god were they ever horrible.

Agreed, I"m so glad they added some more quality bands, it was looking really weak.

Annihilator, Girltalk, Morbid/Death Angel, Cryptopsy & Lazurus AD will all have my undivided attention.

Looking forward to seeing them play "Please dont touch" with Lemmy.

Wow, that Osheaga lineup is not very impressive. Hopefully they get a couple of big acts to headline Saturday and Sunday, because as of right now (Altough I do wanna see Lupe Fiasco), its not really worth my time.

No Errors, but the opening band was kickass. And earplugs?! Haha no. Feedback is a lullaby to my ears

Amazing show though. Got chills like 6-7 times during the set. Great guys too. Talked to Stu for a bit.

Lazarus, Annihilator, Death Angel = good old thrash.
Morbid + Cryptopsy + Gorguts = good old death.

All awesome bands, but I don't think I'll spend all that (transportation+tickets,etc.). Though I miss seeing Gorguts waaaay back.

uh-oh..?

http://lejournaldemontreal.canoe.ca/...25-054505.html

the article is in french... but theyre cracking down the sound from now on at every show at parc jean-drapeu this year.
apparently "bands wont be allowed to play louder than 80db from 35m off the stage "
they're expected to have "two brand new audiometers on-site to make sure the law is respected"
only the fireworks, Nascar and the F-1 will be allowed to be as loud as you want... for the obvious reasons that you cant tune them down and because they bring "enormous revenues to the city"

all because the south-shore is complaining.... wtf

Osheaga, Piknik electronik and Heavy MTL are the likely targets.
I mean sorry, but Lemmy wont tune down and KISS will bring the fireworks... hopefuly it all turns good.

All I cared about was Eminem and Lupe Fiasco, would have stuck around to see Cypress Hill too if it weren't on a diff day. All three are on different days, sorry I'm not paying X $ to see Eminem and Lupe on separate days do 5 songs throw the mic on the ground walk off and then have the likes of everyone else on the list to listen to. (Apologies to the fans of those bands but the list is a joke aside from Eminem, Cudi, Lupe and Cypress Hill, I could wipe my ass with the tickets if it weren't for Eminem)

Same here. Once it stopped being good punk bands and started being a mix of ****** punk bands, emo and indie bands that suck, I sometimes would check every couple years, I think two or three years ago I checked the list and it was laughably bad.

When I went bands like Rancid, Bigwig, NoFx, Millencolin etc were always touring on warp tour. Now it's a bunch of ****** bands more similar to the current Osheaga line-up minus the rap performers.

Its people like you that make me a little weary of what the crowds will be like at Osheaga this year. Your a rap fan, that's cool but don't come in here and **** on all the other bands because you have no idea who they are, going so far as to say they're a joke. This has been a rock festivals until this year so you should really be happy that Osheaga is actually catering to hip hop fans. Just an fyi, given that you're a rap fan you should really check out Shad. Great artist and not sure if you'd like him but he's got a lot of really good songs.

Osheaga related bump. Not sure when they were added but just noticed that Frightened Rabbit is playing on the Sunday. Not really sure if other bands were added or not but I'm really stoked. One of my favourite bands. They definetly should be more popular than they are and are worth checking out if you're gonna be there.

I don't know if anyone's been checking out the Suoni per il Popolo festival that takes place at Casa del Popolo and La Sala Rossa for most of June, but I saw a couple of incredible shows this weekend. Keiji Haino on Friday and Borbetomagus on Saturday. A double-header of permanent hearing loss for sure.

You can get into as much or as little trouble as you want. It's all dependant on how you and your buddies behave.

Anyone know if they are still some tickets remaining for Osheaga? A one-day pass, I'd like to go on Sunday with a few friends.
