I'd do it but Boston wouldn't.

A lot of Oiler fans (myself included) would've even done it before yesterday. I would've even advocated throwing in other necessary parts to make it possible. But now that the hype-machine is in full effect (rightfully so), no chance.

Knew this would pop up 6 points in 2 games they should fast track him to HOF while he is still playing. And I am one that says no RNH will have a better career book it.

Some host on the radio has been pimping RNH as being better than Seguin. Better than Tavares. We'll see..

Nice try. This is a pretty bad deal for the Bruins. Why would they trade a kid that they've been developing for a year now, to end up in the exact same position a year from now (and that's if whoever they draft makes the team)? Makes absolutely no sense.

All this thread proves is that while Taylor Hall was picked 1st overall - choosing Seguin would not have been a catastrophe.

Both have extremely high talent; both have long term potential. Since they play different styles and positions - there is no direct comparison.

The only one who should be squirming right now is Brian Burke....

It proves no such thing. Hall isnt a part of the equation. I would consider trading our first this year for Seguin. No way would I consider trading Hall for Seguin even for a second. The thought of doing so is ridiculous.

Well since Tyler is the flavor of the week now, we might as well throw in Hall also but will Boston take Hall+1st pick for Stamkos err Seguin? I'm not so sure.

In all seriousness, i would probably trade the pick for Seguin mostly because he is further developed than RNH and can contribute sooner but i feel that they have similar long term potential despite Seguin's 2 game dominance.

I'd do the trade in a heartbeat and not because of his current performance.

Hall said he would trade Whitney for Seguin on his Twitter.

I play hockey with a friend of Ference's. He said that they had to knock Tyler down a couple pegs in the locker room this year as he let his ego get a bit carried away a few times earlier in the season. Not sure if that's the type of player you wan't in your locker room.

I got a better one with more chance of happening: our first for Price-Suban.. or while we're still playing 'pie-in-sky, fat-chance, and dream on' how bout our 1st for Getzlaf-Perry or Crosby-Malkin.

He's still a kid and he'll learn. He was probably just trying to take on a leadership role too early or something. I wouldn't have any problems with Seguin being in our lockerroom. In 3-4 years, he's going to be a hell of a player.

What's Boston going to add?

Seriously....

RNH and Hall is WAY better than Seguin and Hall. I'm not saying RNH is neccesarily better, just that he will play better with Hall. Edmonton has no incentive to do the deal... And neither does Boston for that matter
