Because Boughner was such a PP specialist in his day? I don't know if Bucky is any good, because quite frankly he has had crap to work with. Yes I'll call Hall and Eberle crap at this point, because they were rookies that refused to listen to their coaches when it came to when to pass the puck and when to shoot on the PP.

Maybe Bucky isn't the answer, but it's not like all the coaches out there were art ross winners.

Bullocks, the team had hemsky for a good part of the year, horcoff the hero, gagner, foster, gilbert.

You can't pin the lousy pp on the kids who can score. Good coaches take not the best or experienced players and make something good happen. Bad coaches make excuses about personnel.

So then all our coaches should be fired, because nothing good came from last year's group of players.

Detroit would actually be his best choice.
I think this is probably what happens, especially with McCrimmon not returning.

McCrimmon was a defense coach though, does Boughner fit that bill?

Would love to have him in Edmonton, even over Renney.

I love Renney but we need a PP coach, not Bucky. I don't know who that is, but we need a real specialist. The PP is so important. Just like you have goalie coaches, you need a strong PP coach. Bucky is not the guy.

Isn't Boughner just a coaching equivalent of "magic beans"?

You know there has been hate for a grinder running our PP, but after listening to strudwick last week I can see why so many get the job. They played the PK their whole life and know what it takes to beat a PK.
