If he is ready for the WC, he's ready for the KHL. But, the amount of games might be an issue. So, he must be a backup or split with someone.

Lars Haugen (G) will sign 2-way contract with Minsk, 2 years.

Andrei Mezin is the established no.1, but Haugen will compete for the backup spot.

Minsk were scouting him during the WC practice sessions, as well as the games.

The Minsk goalie coach apparently likes Haugen, and believes he will be able to develop his game.

Andrei Mezin have been unstable in recent seasons. Lars are sure to get some chances. So if he does it well when he gets the chance, there will be many battles for him the upcomming season. But its all up to him self..
And hopefully Norway gets a no.1 goalie outside the norwegian GET-leauge..

Kind of interesting this.

Goalie-Coach of Minsk is a friend with Alcen who is coach at Brynäs(?) and coached Haugen for 6-7 weeks prior to this years WC.

Haugen started this season in Lorenskog in Norway. They were supposed to be one of the top three teams this season, but bombed early in the season. They actually played horrible. Though ended up mid-table in the end.

Then he got loaned out to regular bottom feeders Manglerud/Star. Now, this is usually a youth team(almost) in a mens league. A lot of young decent players, but lack of veterans and experience.

18 games, 2.78 GAA and .905 regular season, 1,45 GAA and .909 in 6 games.

That ain't bad for a team who finish regularly at 8/9 of 10 teams and let in 176 goals in 45 games(3.79GAA over the season for that club).

Good point. I think Haugen could be a good backup goalie. He used to be Sparta Sarpsborgs backup goalie and he played well when they gave him a chance. Still im a bit nervous. First of all he is not that tall. Therefore he needs to work on his "sideforflyttning" (lol dnt know the eng word )
