Namestnikov.
He was a PPG, has decent size, played in all situations, has blood ties to John Namesnitkov, and Slava Kozlov. Plays well in all situations, and is anticipated to take a bigger role next year, and puts 2 prospects in our basket from the proven system in London.

If khokhlachev is gone Max Friberg (Sweden)really I think the Habs will draft Brandon Saad.

If I were the Habs management I'd go for a CHL forward with the most likelihood of being and impact offensive player. So its Matthew Puempel for me.

One thing for sure... If all those players are still left on the board when the Habs pick, I hope that the Sens are high enough on one player in particular to trade up and give up their #21 & #48 picks.

I would tend to go with the local boy Nathan Beaulieu, but Im looking to see the other memorial cup games to make me a proper idea on the kid.. anyway in Gauthier and Timmins I trust..

Nicklas Jensen. We need a center prospect with two top line potential. With Zibanejad and Scheifele gone, he's the only one who fits the bill.

I thought he played on his off wing with Jenner as his centre?
I picked JT Miller. Just seems like a Habs player. Work ethic, character and American of course.

Hm, right, he switched to a RW prospect?
I still stay with Jensen, but that brings JT Miller higher in the fold.

If these players are what is available when the Habs pick, I hope they look to move down a few spots and pick up a 2nd round pick. Give the team more assets for trading.
And, Colorado will have a sick defence in a few years if that is how their 2 firsts play out.

BPA: Nathan Beaulieu. Too many defenseman not signed and who's our next moving puck defenseman after Subban?

Beaulieu won't be available with our pick anyways, but he's gotta be the obvious choice there, no?

Its not like resigning defensemen is difficult. Getting forwards from the draft is typcially better than defense due to the age they develop at and there are a lot of good forwards at this point in the draft.
And the answer to your question is obviously Weber.

No love for Phillips? Great hands, playmaking right-winger (he snipes from time to time as well) with speed and an ever-improving 2-way game. No?

You've got to be Swedish...
Beaulieu at 17th is great steal in my opinion, but Jensen is also good option for the Habs.

For some reason, I think Gauthier is going to trade up this season.
But personally I would like to get another pick in the 1st round if possible.
I would go after two guys that know each other and we have a 3rd guy in our system now, that they are fimiliar with as well.
Nicklas Jensen
Boone Jenner
In our system we have Berger, so we would have three guys who are fimiliar with each other from this years Oshawa Generals all skillfull, size, and play with heart and grit.
They could all grow together even more part of the Habs for years to come.
