The traduction is I think i will be ready for the east final, he said after the 4th game of the Series versus the Caps. When we took a lead 3-0 in the series, i had decided to work less harder. It's a good decision because i think i will be ready at 100% for next week. We don't know what happened, at least i don't have any concussion feelings. It's not the same thing, i don't feel dizzy or extremly tired. If i compare it to what happed to me before, it's not near where it was. The most important step, it's to be able to start full-drill practice with contacts. It's tough for me. Normally, i don't react when i'm in the stands, but this time, i was shouting a lot. I can't wait to be back
Tampa Bay Lightning wing Simon Gagne declares himself fit for Game 1 against the Bruins (...)
The news is less encouraging on defenseman Pavel Kubina, who apparently has had concussion-like symptoms since his head hit the glass after an elbow to the back of the head from Washington's Jason Chimera in Game 1.
In other injury updates, defenseman Randy Jones and right wing Steve Downie, both with lingering high ankle sprains, were on the ice Monday after being given an extra day off.
Wing Ryan Malone left practice early. But Boucher said he is fine. Malone has periodically left practice early to protect the groin injury he sustained during the regular season.
Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Pavel Kubina, who was hurt in Game 1 of the East semifinal against the Capitals and has not skated since, did not make the trip to Boston for Games 1 and 2 of the conference final with the Bruins.
On a positive note, left wing Simon Gagne will play in Game 1 against the Bruins, and forward Dana Tyrell (foot) skated with the team at the TD Garden on Friday, though wearing a red no-contact jersey.
I have been following the Lightning ever since their surprise win against the Caps (I thought Washington would have won this series, no harsh for tampa Bay, they were just my pick for the east this year) and was wondering why Kubina wasnt playing. It sucks to have him out.
If TB advance, do you think there's chance of him playing the SCF? Any video of his injury?
