I'll take a few less pts from Bailey on the 3rd line,go with the 7 players who'll be fighting for the top 6 spots in 2011-2012 and look to add better then a smallish,40-45 pt player with the 5th overall.
Ah, you were quoting Roof Daddy, so I figured you were responding to him, and since he also agreed that Gagner for Bailey + 5th was unbalanced in favor of the Oilers I didn't realize that was the proposal you were talking about. So, you can understand my confusion.

After an NYI fan said he'd like a Bailey+5th overall for Gagner trade,Roof Daddy came into the discussion to suggest that Bailey+5th overall for Gagner+Pitlick+Plante would be fair.

Isles just drafted Nelson last drafted and will likely have Casey Cizikas headed to Bridgeport for his 1st pro season. Not to mention Lee.Why do they want Pitlick?

I think MacDonald,Hamonic,De Haan,Donovan and Wishart all have higher upside then Plante,so why would they be in the mix for Plante as a part to a major deal?

I'm not arguing any of that, but the post I responded to was only about Bailey and Gagner, so that's kind of what I thought you were talking about. But like I said, I clearly misunderstood.
