There are definitely some bars I stayed the hell away from, but KBC isn't one of 'em. Love their beer and it's not an uber-young crowd. There are a few good pub type places that have a mix of people and not just the university kids.

Virginia Tech finally noticed I'm no longer an employee, and my Symantec subscription is ended. I now need a new anti-virus.

Suggestions?

I use Avast (free version) and I haven't had a problem since it was installed a year or so ago.

Same. I think it's a bit more robust than AVG too, so I'd recommend Avast.

Anyone know a way to get rid of mocking birds? It started off attacking my 1 year old puppy. It swoops down and constantly attacks my dog. The thing is, the nest (we think) is on the complete opposite side of the yard. It's getting crazy. It finally reached new levels swooping my Pops as he was outside.

Anyone know how to get rid of these damn things?

ANN ARBOR, Michigan — Kevin Harvick doesn’t think Kyle Busch would make much of a hockey player.

“Probably not,” Harvick said flatly. “You’ve got to be tough to play hockey.”

Perhaps it should come as no surprise that the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver most likely to drop the gloves and go is a huge fan of the National Hockey League and especially, of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Quote:
Impressive for a guy who five years ago admits he couldn’t tell you a thing about the game.

“I had not been a hockey fan,” said Harvick, 35, born and raised in Bakersfield, California. A chance meeting with Flyers forward Jeff Carter at a NASCAR event changed all that.

“I went to the Flyers arena and just kind of got started watching it,” Harvick said. “Having somebody to actually watch makes it a lot easier. We’ve become good friends.

“I know a lot of those guys and it’s been fun to follow the sport.”

Naturally, to someone known for his frequent on-track feuds with fellow drivers, the appeal of hockey was obvious.

“I like the roughness of the sport,” Harvick said, “and playoff hockey is just on a whole different level.”

He likes the way that NHLers handle on-ice disputes by settling the score between the boards, which is how he’d like to see disagreements between drivers decided.

Not that exciting IMO. I hope Be a GM is improved.

It's clearly a Cretaceous minnow that didn't get the memo regarding its extinction.

I cant even let my dogs outside to go to the bathroom. Plus I have a party in a week. They are known to attack people, even groups of them. Thats all I need is mockingbirds swooping down and attacking.

It a shame that I cant even let my dog outside to sit on the patio without getting attacked. Dont want my pup to get pecked in the eye.
