Vancouver looking to eliminate SJ tonight. I think they get it done rather then choke in to a game 7 situation again

I think a Canucks-Bruins Final would be excellent for the league and very intriguing. I also feel like if the Sharks couldn't beat Vancouver, nobody could. I wouldn't count SJ out of this series yet either. They win tonight, it goes 7.

Looks like the Sharks have tee times already set. When's the last time 2 Vezina candidates faced each other in the Stanley Cup Finals, that's a good one.

Another 5 on 3 fail for SJ. Pathetic how they've played since the 5 minute major in game 3.

What an outstanding pass by Pavelski though

Tonight makes 21st OT of Playoffs.. Record? Explanation? League parity ? Wtf.

Canucks will run all over Boston, IMO. Seems like a bad match-up.

I don't know. Luongo has trouble with traffic. Boston's entire team are guys that thrive doing stuff like that.

And as much as I love ripping on Timmy, he's the closest thing to Rinne the Nucks have faced (since Rinne himself ) and if Nashville had a more potent offense I think they could've taken the Nucks farther just based on their goaltending.

What a save by Luongo. A rare clutch moment

2 missed penalties on SJ too. Rough night for the officials, especially after the brutal non-call when the puck hit Sedin

That's exactly where I was going with my statement. It will come down to how good Luongo plays. He has been the difference in this series. Personally I think the Sharks and 'Nucks are the best two teams left. Niemi just hasn't played well enough.

If Luongo doesn't fall off his game and it's a Boston/Vancouver final, I see the Canucks taking it. Boston's basically riding on the fact right now that they've solved Tampa's system, and have found ways to open the game up, which exposed the goaltending.

Definitely parity.

I have a theory that I got from a very knowledgeable one-time national sports talk radio personality whom I used to love to listen to nightly that it takes more or less 10 years to recover from an expansion year for any major sports league to see some degree of parity.

The salary cap model that exists now in the NHL helped to speed things up, but since last year we are really starting to see this theory bloom IMO.

The longer this goes, the less productive I am tomorrow. I love it though. I'm just hoping this isn't the game that we've been waiting for all playoffs to go 3 or 4 OT
