How would you be able to determine that? It's been a couple months and any swelling would have healed by now. Maybe that's just the way it's gonna be after a major injury and surgery like that.

Why not? You think the players would just sit around at home or at Rogers Arena avoiding the public during their days off?

Well, if he's limping and in pain, I doubt he's out taking a stroll. And given how hockey mad this city is right now, if he WAS walking around he likely would have been swarmed by fans.

Just sounds made up to me. Spidey sense tingling.

Most of whom would be indignant that he's walking on a sore leg and would insist on carrying him wherever he was going.

I doubt Kesler was out going for a walk on the busiest street in Vancouver.

The Canucks like Yaletown. Luongos favorite restaurant is down there. You can catch him there some times.

There is no way Kesler is limping anyways. It was most likely a cramp. Shouldn't be concerned at all. I can't really see it being anything else.

So the earliest the finals can start is Monday. If Tampa holds onto the lead game 1 will be next Wednesday. Enough time for Ehrhoff to get back?

Would it not be Sunday? Considering game seven is set for Friday.

EDIT: Mckenzie has spoken

Hopefully Rome keeps this nagging injury and is out for the Finals. Pretty much useless out there, and Ballard is a clear upgrade. Even if Ballard falls out of favor again, there's Alberts waiting too.

I kind of hope so too. It's the coaching staff's insistance of using him on the PK that irks me most. I know he brings some grit and "safe" play, but the PK is a bit too high-pressure for a player like Rome. Might be for Alberts too, but nevertheless.

Perfectly content with Ballard and/or Tanev in the lineup. Hopefully Ehrhoff is good to go for Game 1.

You're a poopyface!

Anywho, I've constantly been saying throughout these playoffs that Malholtra wont play no matter what. I don't think that anymore. There might be the slightest possibility that he plays later on in the upcoming series.

Botch and his prediction for a game 6 return in the WCF makes me want to see Manny in game 1 of the SCF. Anything less and I'll be disappointed. Dang you Botch and your wanton speculation! *shakes fist*

Am I ok to assume that Ehrhoff will be in the lineup for Game 1?

Via twitter, and noted by Sekeres as well.

Sucks for Tanev. He needs to play to get his name on the Cup.

Kesler might have a slight limp, but the fact he is allowed out to walk (edit: assumming user is not BS'ing) means his injury is not serious.

Likely has a hamstring strain, and consider that he returned to the game, it means its likely not serious. He'll be sore for a few days and just need some rest and stretching for it to heal.

It would have massive to get Manny back. There is then no way Boston will stop Kesler and the Sedin lines.

I hope Rome is not back, if he is on the ice for even a second (and Ballard, Tanev is not injured), then AV needs to be fired.

Maybe the Canucks will just have to win the Cup twice.

That's what I was thinking -- really, the only reason the Canucks are trying to win the cup this year is so that guys like Tanev and Hodgson can get some experience for when the real cup run happens.

It's bizarre, but I can actually find myself thinking this way, having been habituated by 40 years of writing off the current season and hoping about the next.

We can fire him right after we win the Stanley Cup, right?

why won't rome just go away.
I thought Ballard played horrible and i'd rather him play, than Rome playing at his best.

Pretty impressive we won the last couple games with about $9m worth of cap hit sitting on the sidelines in Sammuelsson, Ehrhoff, Malhotra, and Rome.
