I would take huselius off the list he is a great goal scorer. pretty much 20 goals or more in every season but 1 i think. plus this year he had 14 goals in 39 games thats a pace of 29 goals if he plays the whole season.
He's on because he's tradeable but his contract affects his market value. Borderline qualified for inclusion, basically. We can keep him, and would be happy* to do so.
*: well, "happy" in the sense that he does in fact score, no matter how many times he makes you flinch and wince...
Remember - when you're a hockey fan, it's not "reckless driving", it's "good forechecking".

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
Would you do a Commodore for Komisarek swap? Maybe with a late round pick going from the Leafs to the Blue Jackets? Basically I'm assuming the Jackets would rather be paying a little more for an NHLer than a little less for an AHLer. The Leafs would then get a cheaper buyout.
Clever theory, but I'm not convinced it works for us. We need the money for top-4 blueliners, and Komi presently isn't that. And we're really in the market for NHL roster players, so picks don't make that any easier to swallow.
I want it to be agreeable, but I don't think it is.
Very impressive that Stastny is not on that list. And please keep him off it.
He makes 6.6, which is indeed an overpayment, but, without him making that much, the Avs would not have made the cap floor last year.
Even with this bad season he still averages 0.92 points per game. If you were to use a full 82 game season that equals out to 75 points. Some might see his contact as slight overpayment, but I don't think the vast majority see his contact as a "bad" contact.
I don't know if I'd call Walker, Shelly and Leighton "bad" contracts for the Flyers. They are a waste of some of the "bonus" off season cap space we can spend but all 3 can be buried in the minors. Hell, Walker and Leighton spent nearly the entire length of last season in the minors and didn't affect our cap situation at all. They each spent like only 2 days on the active roster where they counted against the cap (other than when they were on LTIR early in the season and we got cap relief for them anyways).
It's also funny that now, after showing he's STILL a top notch playoff performer that Briere is no longer considered a bad contract.
Also, I can't believe that NOBODY has listed Heatley as a bad contract yet. I can't see anyone wanting to take on that contract for what he's doing (or more importantly NOT doing and especially not doing in the playoffs). He certainly isn't worhty of his 7.5 mil cap hit or whatever it is.
I'd take Foster off that list. 1.8 for a bottom pairing PP specialist who stepped it up big time when other people went down injured isn't too bad. Most people want him gone, but it's still not a bad contract
Bouwmeester: 6.68 mil for 24pts
Langkow: 4.5 mil for 1pt
This list is for trade purposes. While both of those players are overpaid, they are not contracts that Calgary would be looking to dump. Horcoff and Souray on the other hand are both overpaid and have been subject to trade rumors last year.
I don't even know how you can argue about Souray, the guy played in the AHL all last year.
Okay, here's the suggestions since I last updated that I will take a look at:
Additionally 3 people disagreed with Foster being up there, and I was on the fence about putting him up there so I'll take him off.
4 people disagreed with Ballard being up there. Personally I think the Canucks would be quick to unload him this offseason given that Beiksa, Salo, and Erhoff are all UFA's and bring more to the team than Ballard does, but I guess that's just me.
