An unrelated note on Richter...Just last night I watching NHL2Nite on ESPN2and they countedtheir top 5 Penakty shots of all time..The mikey save on Bure was #2...Man, that was an awesome play under unreal pressure..Ah, the good old days! For that save alone he deserved to have his number retirered..Hopefully tonight the Rangers canreact the same way to pressure..God, talking pressure on the 3rd game of the season...Hockey is still different here!

I'm insulted.

Who got #1?

Not unless it was a game saving stop in the final game of the finals should there be a bigger save than that.

Not only was it under the most intense pressure one could imagine, but the shooter should be taken into consideration as well.

Pavel Bure had just finished up back to back seasons in which he topped the 60 goal mark and in 24 PO games that year he had another 16 goals.

Larry, who was #1

what GOALIE would you want in net to stop a penalty shot?

Most picked Hasek.. and some picked Jose Theodore and Steve Sheilds!?

Maybe it wasn't "penalty shot" Top 5, I can't remember but they picked The Forsberg shot in the shootout to beat Corey Hirsh and give the Swedes the World Championship....Splitting hairs between shootouts and penalty shots, but I could see this choice, especially form a world or Candian perspective...But Mikey would be my tops..

The good old days were great. Richter is sure going to be missed. But I think his replacement will do a fine job for us. He sure played a heck of a game tonight. He realy seems to be happy to be hear which is just great.
