Jackets Balastik

Apparently we aren't the only team pulling a Prucha...

Blue Jackets sign top Czech goal scorer

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jaroslav Balastik, the top goal scorer from the Czech Elite League, signed a one-year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.

The Blue Jackets' ninth pick in the 2002 National Hockey League entry draft, Balastik has spent most of the past seven seasons with Zlin ZPS HC in the Czech league. He played half of the 2002-03 season with HPK Hammeenlinna in Finland.
The right wing led the league in goals during the past two seasons, posting 30 goals and 16 assists last season with Zlin. He had 29 goals and 18 assists the previous season.

I don't see the comparison between the two players in question. Balastik is significantly older and more experienced. He's already established himself. Prucha needs a lot more experience to even get to that level.

Its like 7 little paragraphs at the bottom right hand side of the sports section on page 68. The paragraph is really abot the NYI signing Bouchard, but the they talk about PHX signing Passmore and Cujo for like 2 little paragraphs and its like 2 paragraphs with the Cmbs signing.

the title of the thread is not They pull a Prucha. The correct title" Columbus signs scorer"
