I'm cheering for the Canucks because they're my second favourite team.

i would like to see a team from Canada win the cup, as long as it is not toronto . But unless its Koivu or Halak i dont care if former habs are on teams that are in the hunt.

Jigger, I loved what Lapierre provided our team with, but truth is that he asked to be traded. When asked about it, I saw him shrug and say "it's better that way... but Montreal is always in my blood." He's still one of my favorite players

How can you list Vlasic over Dan Boyle and Lapierre instead of Luongo or Burrows?

Pretty sure you won't see what you're bringing as a reason...especially with how it ended with both. Personnally, I always liked Lapierre, didn't feel he was used at his potential, and always thought that he could do a fine job. So I like the guy and I'm cheering for him. But that's not the main reason why the 'Nucks are my favorite team in the top 4 left.
Um, if you're a MTL fan, then hockey season ended with a certain overtime goal. Btw, if you know your history, it was the overtime goal in game 3 when they blew the 3-1 and didn't put up six in the first two periods when they could have and Carey Price had his one really stinky game. Shades a certain series against Carolina when they did the same freaking thing.

I'm cheering for anyone out west because;

1) I hate boston and wish them nothing but pain and heartbreak.

2) I'd probably go insane reading about Guy Boucher and MAB in every single thread started on the Habs board if they win.

Not because of our former players but because they've always been my favorite team in the west.

And I always hop onto they 'nucks bandwagon if they're still in and we aren't.

Alright let me re phrase this question.
Canucks or Bruins? if a gun was pointed at your head.
True Habs fan would grab the gun and shoot the broons bear. If the broons won the cup and he still had the gun he'd turn it on himself.

Ummmmm....is Marchand's nickname squirrel (not..a..joke)?

Personally I love Lappy. Higgins, I'm glad he's succeeding in the role he was built for. And yeah, you don't need to give us reasons except who you're gonna beat. I hope all the potential choking is over with from the first round. You guys better teach them a hard lesson. Now I'm a little more happy Malhotra is skating.

man oh man...that is hard to think upon.

anyway, I guess cheering for the Canucks is not the right way to put it, like you said. More like preventing years of horrible horribleness. It's really a mental health initiative.

Cheered and jumped for joy when the habs won in 93 and have been a fan ever since. Lots to like about your team, esp the play of Subban. However, I'm an even bigger Canucks fan. Thanks for the support!

Vancouver. Unequivocally. Without hesitation. And yeah, Lappy and Higgins aren't a huge motivation at all, but definitely "icing on the cake", as it were.

It's nice seeing support from Habs fans because I always jump on the Habs bandwagon once the Canucks are out. Only other Canadian team I could cheer for full-heartedly.

and as a 'Nucks fan I'm glad we have Lappy and Higgins to play against the Bruins. I've heard Lappy is a real pest to them and gets them to draw penalties.
