Palmieri + 3rd for Voynov + Moller

Neutral fan and I see that as an even trade between the two

I agree that Voynov would look great in New Jersey.. a Voynov-Volchenkov line would be overwhelmingly awesome.

I also agree that I don't want Palmieri being sent back... he has the makings to be a very solid, big guy that can and will produce for the Devils in later years. To me, Vas seems a bit redundant in the Devils' farm system, and is, therefore, expendable.

Does:

Voynov + EDM 2nd '12 for Vasyunov + WSH 2nd '12 work??

Vas is 100% NHL-ready, and he has shown that in his brief stints playing for the big club this year. He has slick hands, solid vision and an eye for the net. Chico Resch (Devils color analyst) always loved to point out that he's not a stereotypical Russian -- he has a great work ethic, works extremely hard, conditions extremely hard, goes to the front of the net, and cares about the outcome of the game and the season.

EDM has EDM's 2nd in '12.

I'm almost positive that the Kings fans won't. They seem to be rating Voynov very highly.

Actually, I would definitely consider that. Moller is just an awful fit in Murray's system. Thus, has no future with the Kings. I think Palmieri for Voynov has been discussed in this thread as well.

Most of us would happily trade for a potential top 6 winger.

I wouldn't be against it, although filatov is creeping into bust territory. Perhaps a change of scenery would help him.

Interesting. Palmieri for Voynov is a trade I'd do.

A 2012 2nd and 3rd? Maybe. But what the Kings need is a left wing with top line potential who is well on his way towards developing into his position.
Voynov & Moller

For

Evgeny Grachev and two 2nd round picks in 2011 #45 & #56

Valentenko - Voynov can be the Rangers #3 pair next season
MDZ - Voynov can be the Rangers PP for the future.

Moller - Lindberg - Hagelin make a trio of Swedes that can form a solid 3rd line.

I think Lombardi would be all over that like a rash, he especially loves second round picks.

This deal for Voynov is much better.

From Kings prospective I would ask for Mattias Tedenby for Voynov + Moller.

Ahuh. So Moller and Voynov for a smaller lighter Moller?
This wouldnt work out on the Westcoast. New Jersey have some great Athletes but if they arent willing to trade Parise (who would be?) their just isnt a helpfull deal on the cards for both teams. If we wanted to do a lateral trade the Grachev deal would be fun. He looks to be a tough 3rd liner

This would be a deal imo.

It hurts like crazy to move Voynov and I know it can't feel great to move Grachev and the two 2nds. What if you staggered the 2nds to one in 11 and one in 12? Bit of a gamble on our end that the 2nd 2nd will be at least as good as what is on offer this year but then you guys are gambling too.

I don't know, I think either way that I would do this deal and then pray that I am right about Grachev becoming the player that he looks to be.

As far as value goes I think you are bang on.

I'm thinking that Voynov makes the Kings out of camp next season. He's proved he can play in the AHL and remain healthy, last season. He's ready for the jump to the show.

He's a smaller PMD with a never quit, never say "Die" attitude. He is the prototype of a Dean Lombardi PMD. Lombardi invested a lot of time in Russia prior to drafting he and Loktionov, I don't see him trading Voynov, and possibly not Lokti.

I would rather trade Martinez and plug Voynov in his spot.

This is funny. You'll trade Voynov for a tough 3rd liner, but not for a budding top line winger?

I dont see him succeeding in the West and not very probable to succeed in the East. West = Size.
Grachev is more likely to succeed in the Kings system. Im sure you understand we are a grinding team we need a larger sniper to play our game (or one with terrific skating ability). Moller has a sick shot but it isnt enough.

No chance. I highly doubt Tedenby gets moved unless it's a deal Lou simply can't pass up. That doesn't qualify.
