I voted "other". 3 rounds should be good. Will we allow trading?

I think we could allow simple trades, such as things like moving up, trading for negotiation rights. Nothing crazy.

I've never done this but give me Atlanta. I want to have the honor of being the GM who did their first draft as the Manitoba Moose.

If that is indeed the name, that emoticon will be use quite frequently...

On Topic: is it going to be the 2011 draft order, or a random order?

^^ question answered...

Great idea, guys.

Don't consider myself knowledgable enough about the various teams' needs or philosophies to participate, but I am very curious to see where you all come out.

Also, agree with the earlier poster who suggested limiting to draft-related trades. In looking at the main board, waaaaaay too many of those mocks go off the deep end due to trades that shake up half their NHL rosters.

That's what I did in the mock draft I'm holding on the main board. Hate it when the rosters become unrecognizable.

An easy thing to do is just pick a team, then read their system summary at the HF organizational rankings. It will tell you their strengths and weaknesses, so you know where to focus. Then, if you're not super-knowledgeable, scan the ISS/other rankings and make your picks.

Hahaha - you make it sound so easy!

Thanks for the encouragement, but I also could never go 3 rounds deep - and, more importantly, with the way work's been recently, I'd be the guy everyone's fuming over who takes 23 hours to make every pick. I'm on enough ignore lists as it is!

fwiw, isles 65th pick will go to anaheim. in the wisniewski trade, the isles have the choice of either giving anaheim their own third rounder or colorado's and since colorado's comes first at 63, they will give anaheim the 65th.
