Islanders Amateur Western League Scout at the Team Canada WJC Evaluation Camp

Very good review from the team scouts on the prospects at Canada WJC camp. Hopefully Tony Feltrin does something similar for the European Prospects camp he came back from.

SCOUT'S POSTCARD FROM...WHISTLER, B.C.
Harkie Singh at the Team Canada WJC Evaluation Camp

As an organization we are very proud of our prospects that played at Canadian Junior Evaluation Camp. 2004 second-rounder Blake Comeau played very well. He displayed a great amount of character and leadership qualities on the ice.

Here are my notes from the three games:

Game # 1: Team Red (w/ Comeau & Kohn) 3 - Team White (w/O'Marra) 2

Game # 2: Team White 4 - Team Red 3

Game # 3: Team Red 4 - Team White 3

Comeau sounds like a nifty prospect and this report just adds to that feeling. What do those who have seen him play regularly think of him? What's his upside? Any shot he'll get a shot at our fourth line this year with Bergenheim?

I saw Comeau when I was at the Memorial Cup in London. He was Kelowna's best player with 3 goals in 3 games. As I have posted in the past, Comeau has made great improvement in his skating. Still look for him to back to junior for his last year. He impressed at the WJC camp and is a good bet to make the team.
