I have zero confidence that Sestito is going to amount to anything significant. I think the Flyers really dropped the ball on that trade. Chaput is going to be a very, very, very good third line center man for a long time to come. The fact that Sestito couldn't even crack possibly the worst forward group in the NHL should be unsettling for most on here......

I don't have as high a hope for Chaput as that, but, even if he doesn't ever amount to anything, that was a strange trade. We weren't exactly in a desperate need for Sestito and he seems like a kind of player that can be picked up for free rather easily in the off season.

Neither will amount to anything if you ask me.

Gustafsson on the blueline as well.

And as I said before, we let a solid prospect in Maroon get away/ruined just because we were afraid to call a spade a spade.

I'm glad that our AHL team can now move forward without being held back by such shoddy lockerroom management and coaching.
Maroon just does not get it. If he does not wise up he will never progress any futher than he has. Sometimes you have to blame the player not the organization.

Sounded like Maroon got away because they did call a spade a spade. The coach was obviously the bigger issue. They're not missing Maroon, and he wasn't going to make the team next year either. We will and have already gotten more out of Syvret his 2nd time around than we'll ever get from Maroon.

Chaput and Sestito have a simialar ceiling - 3rd line checker.

Sestito filled a whole in the prospect pool - big, tough winger with some skill. Chaput was going to have a tough road with Richrds, carter and giroux.

CLB wingers - nash, umberger, voracek, huselius, clark, isn't that bad and they had more experienced guys like boll and dorsett filling the role Sestito will play. He reminds me a little of Chris Simon but not as good of a fighter.

I guess we should just sign Jacob De Serres just in case.

Tostitos didn't exactly set the league on fire in his limited action for the Phantoms. I would think Testwuide is closer to NHL ready

I'm a bit excited about that new kid Matt Read, however, most of these college FAs never pan out.

Yes, due to the absence of a transfer agreement, we keep his rights until he is 27 (UFA age).

But if we don't sign Morrison, Riopel and/or Labrecque today, we lose them. Does anyone have some information about them?

I saw that this thread was approaching 1000 posts, so I made a new one. I had to jump on the opportunity to make my first career sticky.
