Atlanta supports college sports more than there pro sports teams, its been that way for years...Them folks are all about the Georgia Bull dogs and Georgia tech etc....Although their ECHL club north of Atlanta draws good crowds.

You're right though that they are getting shoved down our throats because they're "the new golden calf" and also because they won the cup last year.
I see no issues with the Hawks getting on TV so much. From 97-08 we hardly ever were on national TV (Since they sucked) and of course Wirtz didn't allow home games on TV

Also I would add that the Hawks v Nucks was the best 1st round series IMO so I dont see anything wrong with TSN and others going with what may currently be the best rivalry in NHL

Re-read my post dude; I didn't say anything was wrong with it I was just stating that go david krejci 430 (once go kim johnson 514) was wrong when he said that Chicago didn't get a lot of air time this year.

Yeah, you're right. They were nationally televised against Eastern teams at every opportunity though. Which is what they should have been doing. I thought some of those though were part of VS' extended coverage (games not orginally scheduled), but no, not really.

It's been done based on what your definition of done is. To TSN, it's done whenever they say it is, they just don't want to jump the gun and freak out all their contacts being that they've been a league mouthpiece through all this relocation jargon.

It's rumored that the announcement is coming tomorrow. I'm hoping a name is revealed, too.

I agree... They should just suck it up and call the team the jets. Who cares if they sucked. It's their history, it's a good name, the fans want it, and just because the old jets sucked doesn't mean they can't make this team good.

The Jets are part of the Phoenix franchise. They need a fresh start.

It's going to be the Manitoba Mancaves.

Logo will be a guy with a mullet in a too short tee shirt sitting in a Barcalounger with a beer in his right hand and a hockey stick in his left.

It's stupid that they don't re-align, but I'll appreciate the charm of playing Winnipeg/Manitoba 4 times next year.

That too. It was just never right that the "Heartland of Hockey" no longer had a team. The Flyers were the first team to play against the Wild in Minnesota, I'm kind of hoping we get to do the same vs. Winnipeg.
