I am working on some blog entries about women who have their names engraved on the Stanley Cup (since I hope to one day have my name engraved alongside of them!). I'd love any information you might have on these women...links to resources, personal stories, etc.
In particular, I am looking for information on Marguerite Norris, the first female hockey executive and the first with her name on the Cup. She also happened to live in my hometown, which is why she is of particular interest to me.
Are there any resources out there on the first ladies of hockey?
Former owner of the Calgary Flames. She inherited her share from her husband Ralph who was a rather big deal in Calgary back in the day. Wish I had a story or two for ya, but wiki will have to do! I know there are a lot of pics of her with the Cup in the Forum in Montreal and while on the plane flying home.
This link was on the wiki-page if you're looking for a head start and haven't found all of the names yet:
Thanks to everyone for your input a few months back. I finally got around to writing my first blog post about the women whose names have appeared on the Stanley Cup.
This one features Marguerite Norris (daughter of James). Unfortunately, not much information is readily available about her, so it is a little dryer than I had hoped, but contains much more information than any other articles I've seen on her.

If you have any more information on Marguerite (or any other the other ladies whose names are on the Cup), please feel free reach out.
