Well that came from nowhere.

I think he'll be hosting the Bill Watters Show on AM640

Called it first.

I kinda feel bad for the guy but he brought it upon himself...these last few years he's been bitter because he's not palsy walsy with the suits or inner leaf circle like he used to be

HAHAHA, YES!

I don't usually revel in someone's defeat but that guy has been such an a-hole to Leafs fans over the years that it was a long time coming.

Seriously? You're questioning that this guy wasn't a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs? He was many things but he was certainly a Leafs fan.

Well, when you taunt and provoke a fan base for years, you can't expect very much compassion when it turns around and bites you in the ***.

Certainly didn't always agree with him...and he way too often lumped all Leaf fans into one box. But i actually liked Howard. I thought he told it like it was. If we are being honest, there wasn't much to excited about over the last six years, so he didn't have much to cheer about.

He only did that to bait Leafs fans into going into a rage. You're not supposed to be mad about it.

Apparently that makes sense to Berger.

Anyway, good riddance. Go **** your hat and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, Howie.

Just because the team wasn't very good, that doesn't give you the green light to relentlessly insult everyone involved in any fashion you like. That's not what "telling it like it is" is.

The point of radio shows is to get callers, and people reacting, it builds your revenue stream. These guys aren't idiots, they know what they're doing and they know that baiting a Leaf fan is one of the easiest things to do in the history of man kind. If I were to start a post that said Reimer is a fluke and after the shooters get a read on him, he will fade into obscurity like Vesa Toskala, Andrew Raycroft and Felix Potvin, then I will be yelled at by 99% of Leafs nation.

It's trolling because the station wants trolls, it's why Bobcat is so successful.
