Trade Proposal Cal-LA

LA needs a defenseman and is willing to give up any of the following players for one of your dmen:

Trent Klatt, Eric Belanger, Derek Armstrong, or Jeff Cowan

If you guys sign Hamrlik, which of your defensemen are most available? Montador or Ference?

Thanks in advance.

Montador is the most available and the only guy I would want from that bunch if Belanger.

Screw that, Lydman for Frolov

Seriously though, I don't see too many forwards (offensive ones) that LA would give up, and Calgary would want...

Don't think LA will part with either of them...to much upside to part with right now.

I would do Belanger for Montador. I'd rather do Armstrong for Montador.

You guys don't have cap issues right?

Not right at the cap (no) but the Flames budget is not max cap (I believe). If Montador (mid 20s is traded) it will be for a young mid 20s player as well or at least still in their 20s.

nonetheless, id throw in a pick with lydman for brown if its possible (but i know its unlikely)

i would definitely do a cammalleri for lydman...where do i sign? hate to see a very good high scoring young forward go but the kings are deep in that area in the minors...

Cowan used to be Flames property. He was shipped off to the Thrashers. No reason to believe he'd be of interest to be brought back, unless he's morphed into a big time toughguy.

Brown is an untouchable.

Cammalleri on the other hand has had his fair share of battles with the management, and will be dealt imho.

Cammalleri for Lydman seems possible.

Cammy for Lydman is a go for me, as much as I love Cammy. Another d-man who can play the PP would benefit the Kings greatly.

From Buffalo you can have any one, or maybe 2 of these guys for Lydman:

Tim Connolly
Taylor Pyatt
Maxim Afinogenov
Derek Roy
Drew Stafford
Daniel Paille
Jason Pominville

Dumont's name gets mentioned a lot in discussions, but I don't think he would be available.

I like Afinogenov, but for some reason I don't think Sutter would. Taylor Pyatt certainly is appealing too!

Lydman + Nystrom for Brown but I dont think LA would do it. I know its overpayment but just goes to show how much I like brown, he will be on the USA team for the next few years, as he is one of the brightest young american players today

Conolly might still have the potential to be a playmaker, after he eases himself off the female hormones.

The Pens are apparently shopping around Milan Kraft and probably need to improve their D. Not sure if The Flames want/need Kraft, but they are over-loaded with D, so maybe Kraft for say Lydman (with neccessary draft picks/other players for both teams)?

finder is an ........well you can't belive anything he writes. but the pen's do have an overload with good, cheep, young forewards and kraft is the best, and at the top of the list of those that we "might" trade! so any team that wants to reduce payroll by adding youth should give the pens a call.
