Personally I like the idea of the GDT being up for grabs and not having a "standard" GDT. We already have a lot of good GDT posters, and I wouldnt want to shut anyone out.

also like being able to see who can build the best win streaks, etc.

An avatar whiz to be WFOME's backup would be a good idea (will be like bringing Lindback over for camp last season)

a global mod would be cool(not sure if golfmade is one of those or not)

but the main thing we want is posters who want to be here and hopefully are ready to fully immerse themselves in our culture with the goal of becomeing full fledged preds fans, every bit as crazy and dedicated as we are...

agree 1,000,000%. I'm using how ATL poster have and how much they have posted on the Preds boards for my draft chart and their wants for a team on their team chart.

Haha is LL really gone? I didn't like the guy, but I thought all he did was post really dumb trade proposals and then celebrate when one sorta kinda almost happened the way he said it would...

Anyway, the GDT thing is a touchy subject. I think a lot of folks are content with it being GDT by committee. I wouldn't mind seeing a more uniformed GDT, but I also wouldn't be opposed to either having that one style GDT contributed to by several posters or keeping it the same as it's been for a couple of seasons. I'm not hard to please in that regard (though I do think there should be a standardized time limit for a caim. if someone has claimed the GDT but it isn't posted by three hours before game time it's up for grabs or something like that)

I think we gave GDT's covered. I like the commitee idea.

Anways, why dont we trade BFC? He's old, overpaid, and could get us a decent return.

BFC is more of a rent-a-poster at the deadline for the play offs. I think we should let him serve out the next season, and then find him a job within the organization. Maybe rookie scout or something to keep him happy

I might be able to sell our mods on giving up the CBJ pick for him.

Should we draft like Poile and get a defensive poster first? Or do we need a few more offensive posters?

I think we should draft smartly but not bring much attention to ourselves. Then after everyone is drafted we swoop in like the KHL and get them all. What are contracts for but to break, right? We offer the posters witty repartée, the chance to cheer close to home and no state income tax. I think they'll be quite interested.

BFC- Anaheim just got a supplementary 39th. Do you think we should try to trade our 23rd for the 29th and 39th? Quantity over quality?

Hi guys! Here to introduce myself.

I'm a chick! I'm kind of cute I guess, I'm not quite Shrek, my husband doesn't scream when he rolls over.

I'm already a Preds fan, I make it up to 3 or 4 games a season, that will be more this season.

I have a blog which I will probably convert to a Preds blog:
http://gettingpucksdeep.blogspot.com/

I'm passionate and devoted. I was one of the nuts that rode on a bus 7 hours in the blizzard (the driver took us through Birmingham instead of up through the mountain) to watch the Thrashers play the Preds.

I haven't been on the HF Boards, too long, but I do post frequently, so I see my post count going up.

I think I have a good sense of humor and I can be sarcastic.

I'm pretty decent at photoshops.

This. Didn't want to use the KHL analogy but that's exactly what we should do. Poach more than an egg mcmuffin factory

Hmm. Female, but married. I guess we can let that slide

Active blogger.

Already a Preds fan.

Low post count, so no enemies or baggage and a mind we can wash, rinse, and mold

The avatar sold me, too, but the above are added perks. Pull yourself out of the draft and come to camp on a try-out Bring your husband along. You know he needs a little Preds hockey in his diet.

While i'm not in the draft, as I had forgotten to register for it, please consider me when looking for undrafted free agents. I would be a great asset to your fanbase as I've followed the Preds as my Western Conference team over the past several years, especially with the rising Thrashers-Preds rivalry. Thanks for your consideration

I imagine if you shove your hands in your pockets, whistle a tune, and nonchalantly stroll on in no one will give it a moment's thought

I still have all the stuff to do it and make it all flashy and stuff, we just have a terrible record when I make GDTs. That's a big part of why Trade Legwand took over, and then the "less is more" approach came into fashion. Maybe we could take a late-round flyer on a GDT-maker, but I don't really see that as a priority considering our style of GDTs.

I'd like someone to help out on the creative side with avatars. I can put them together myself easily enough, but there have been times when I've hit major creative blocks.

Cute girls are always a plus, and foreign guys are usually a big boost to an organization, but I think if we can get the versatility of a cute foreign girl at #23, we should definitely go for it despite all of the attached risks. Personally, I would rather focus on the former two categories than global mods. While the added punch is nice, we need to focus on our full users first. That's where championship fan communities are built.
