Whoa....The most over-rated player in the league (Nash) vs. the second most over-rated player in the league (Lecavalier)?

Anyways, I think Lecavalier due to the fact that he is not quite as over-rated and is simply the better player.

You're a hater. How are they overrated again? Last year one won the Rocket Richard and the other the Stanley Cup. Overrated usually means they don't do well.

I vote Nash.

They are over-rated in the following way:

Nash - Best season is 57 points. Has yet to score 100 points in his NHL career. Yet he is a "superstar". Nonsense. He can't pass, can't play defense, and is inconsistent. Who cares if he got 41 goals? It is the 57 points that prove he has a long way to go before being called a "superstar". A 57 point season by someone who is a one-dimensional offensive player is not exactly "superstar" material. By the way, is Bobby Holik a "superstar"? Because if Nash is, then Bobby Holik is too considering Holik had just as many points, while providing much better defense.

Lecavalier - Never has averaged a full point-per-game in a season. Had a 66 point season last year, which is quite a low ranking for such a "superstar" who many people think is a top 10-15 player in the league. Is only two seasons removed from years in which he had 30-ish and 40-ish point seasons. Doesn't play all-around hockey with any kind of consistency and lacks intensity. Disappeared for periods of time during the playoffs. Yet he is a "superstar" in the opinion of many. I don't think so.

First off Lecavalier wins this one for me. A better player no doubt.

But neither is overrated I dont think. Lecavalier was the World Cup MVP while Nash led the league in goals in '04 and was dynamite in the '05 Worlds. You have to remember if the league didnt shut down both of these guys would have broken out even more. Just wait till this season.
