Best player not in the Hall of Fame

Okay now that Neely is in the Hall it may leave this one out in the open a bit more. By the way I disagree with Neely being in the Hall, but anyways here a short list of the next best who arent in there, who should be in the most?

Rogie Vachon - Three time Cup winner. All with Montreal. Traded to leave room for Dryden and then he still had great success in LA from like '73-78. Twice a second team all-star, and in '75 was second in Hart Trophy voting. 355 wins. Played brilliantly in the '76 Canada Cup. To me he's as good as Cheevers, probably better.

Glenn Anderson - 6 Cups. No postseason allstar selections but he had the likes of Bossy and Kurri to contend with. 498 goals. Three 100 point seasons. Very hard to overlook him.

Claude Provost - 9 Cups. All with the Habs. Was more of a shut down guy but still was first team all-star in '65. Not great but maybe good enough to slip through the cracks.

Sergei Makarov - The best of the KLM line. Even when he entered the NHL in '89 at 31 and not in his prime anymore he still averaged a point per game. Would have been as good as Kurri in the 80s.

I left off Dino Ciccarelli, basically because he didnt do anyhting that made me think he HAS to be in there. Left off John Tonelli as well.

M pick is Rogie Vachon. It was even before Neely got in there. How he isnt in the Hall of fame is puzzling. Did he sleep with someone's wife or something? I'm kidding, but still what gives?

I never saw Makarov play so I went with Anderson.

Other (Wayne Gretzky)

Edit: I have to start reading the question properly before I answer it . With me now knowing that the question wasn't " Best Player in the Hall of Fame", I still go with other (I'm not sure who to pick, so I choose Allison)

Yeah but no Cups, no all-stars, no league leader in anything. No spot on Team Canada in '81, '84, '87 or even '91. Dino doesnt just jump out at you for whatever reason.

I am by no means a Leaf fan, but compare these stats. Very comparable and Vaive never had the likes of Janney or Oates. He was on arguably the worst team in the league throughout his whole career...How does Cam Neely get into the Hall of Fame? Popularity should not be a reason.

I still say Dino Ciccarelli.

608 goals, 1200 points in 1232 games.
Tell me, why shouldn't he be in there with guys like Neely?

Yeah I know you could say the same about Kerr and Martin. Neely had the one big season and all of the sudden he's in. I dont get it. Vaive isnt as good but I wasnt for Neely being in either.
