Dubinsky will get a similar contract. Closer to $4M than the low $3M range which has been suggested here. $3.9M per. Travis Zajac money.

I've long thought he'd end up close to $4m. Does Stafford kill penalties? Just a question, because I think that would affect the number Dubinsky gets eventually too. The Stafford deal really only helps the Rangers, because there's no way Dubinsky is getting more than $4m.

Wolski is not worth 3.5 being just one season removed from a 23G 42A 65PT season but Dubnisky is worth 4 after putting up 24G 30A 54PT.

How does that work?

I agree. I've also penciled Dubinsky in for $4m per year. Based on this deal, I think we should be able to get him for an extra year at $4m (ie: $4m x 5 years), or take it down a couple hundred thousand if a 4 year deal (ie: $3.8m x 4).

Cap has gone up every year, making GM's more willing to commit money.

This. Plus, what Wolski did two years ago needs to be weighed against what he did (or more importantly, failed to do) this past season.

And Wolski has a 3.8 cap hit and is making 4 million in actual money this year, not 3.5 to be specific.

Dubinsky finished with a faceoff percentage of over 50 percent this year (52.5 to be exact.) Drury came off the bench to take faceoffs for every other centers sorry ass on the team. Just because Dubi plays the wing now doesn't mean he sucks on draws.

He doesn't take them anymore cuz he's adjusted to being a LW and like NYRFAN218 said, he had a 52.5 face-off percentage. Do you even follow the team at all?

Wait - Dubi trails Srafford by meaningful percentages on both a PPG and GPG basis and he's due for virtually the same contract? How does that work?

If I'm the Rangers, I'm taking that comp and targeting either 4 years for $14MM or 5 years for $20MM.
