So either KK and the Murray's have been fooled, or they are seeing something in him that isn't translating for you.

I think fans are disappointed because they thought Wick would light it up, but his numbers are pretty close to what he produced in Switzerland (0.83 PPG for Kloten, 0.70 PPG in Bingo--minus his first 10 pointless games where he was adjusting). He's not a dominant player, but he's a good complimentary player. He does a lot of little things defensively--he saved a goal the other night (the broadcasters picked it up), lifting a stick on the backcheck. He controls the puck well along the boards. He's a good passer and has a good shot (although, like Colin Greening, he has a hard time getting his shot off). A lot of people complain that he isn't very physical and he's not, but the effort is there. Not every player is going to knock people out like Cody Bass. He does try the same deke move too much, but he's simplified his game a lot (particularly during his NHL call-ups).

Anyway, I'm not here to start a big argument about Wick, but I thought someone should provide a little balance. As I said above, players get what they deserve for KK, so there's a reason why Wick was on the fourth line and not higher--but there's also a reason he got moved up as the game went on.
I don't disagree with anything you said.

If we win the Calder cup, who will be voted MVP?

I know it's early but if Bingo wins the Calder cup, would Lehner be picked as MVP?

save percentage 0,938
Shutouts: 3

or

Potulny 14 11 25pts

Since there's no way in heck Bingo wins the Calder Cup, who wins MVP?

That Hackett guy, maybe?

Or something?

Probably that Hackett guy.

In some imaginary world where Bingo does win, who gets it for them? There's really only two options right now, imo.

- Potulny: Scored a bunch of points, but has yet to have an impact in the final.
- Lehner: Amazing stats (better than that Hackett guy), but has laid a couple eggs in the playoffs, been pulled a couple times.

Yeah, those are certainly the frontrunners (if Bingo wins which they definitely will not), but I think Keller, and maybe Benoit, could make good cases for MVP if they close out the series strong.

When Houston wins, it'll probably be O'Sullivan getting MVP.

It won't be Hackett.

A goalie on a great, stifling defensive team should be better than 2.40 / .906. Christobal Huet syndrome.

Probably O'Sullivan, Ortmeyer, Gillies, one of their NHLers.

Lehner for sure.

Potulny has done nothing in the finals, while Lehner is .958.

Honourable mention: Andre Benoit.

To the die-hards that have caught to whole series:

What's the scouting report on Justin Falk? Is he someone you'd like to poach?

Thanks.

Practice today...

Practice today.

Joy Lindsay
No #BSens on the ice as of 10:15 a.m. Skates on the mornings of back-to-backs are always optional, but usually a few guys come out...

Captain Keller comes out and promptly has a bucket of pucks dumped onto the ice behind him. So far, he's the only one. #BSens

Keller off the ice now. Scratches and Black Aces on. #BSens

Via Joy.....

SenzZen:

On Justin Falk as possible signing stay @ home D-man. Big 6' 5" 215 lbs.

Ottawa already has Mark Borowiecki & Eric Gryba to develop in that mold down in Binghamton. So let them grow in that role with hopes that someday they will play in Ottawa.

So I see no need to add Justin Falk + have not watched him play enough to have any opinion.

Thanks for the reply, Zeke. Seems like the kind of player to partner with Karlsson or Rundblad- whomever isn't with Cowen.

I guess I was wondering whether he's further along than Gryba, Borowiecki et al. Sooner go within the org to fill that spot, but figured our management is getting a good look at the Aeros ATM too.

That's what Phillips and Carkner are for.

You're right, my bad. Justin Falk is a much better option.

Ottawa is having a really, really good goalie tandem now and for the future. Anderson and Lehner, it's simply impressive. Good with strong competition between to two.
