Would think Blackhawks need to give up Dave Bolland to make it happen

seriously? give up sharp or bolland to move up 10 spots?

thats ludicrous

it would probably be a 2nd round pick

for players - probably a ben smith, troy brouwer, brandon pirri - or players of that level

if we would trade sharp - it would for 10 draft spots? come on!

Columbus needs good roster players, specifically defenseman, and the Blackhawks could use some salary space. What about something based around:

To Columbus
Hjalmarsson and the 18th pick

To Chicago
8th overall

If the value is off, maybe switch out the 18th for the 36th pick.

Hawks cant trade Hammer until July + it is not worth it to give him up to jump 10 spots

I would prefer Hawks move down in 1st and add another 2nd

if the Avs' "guy" is gone by #11 i could see them trading down if they see little variation in talent after that.. would probably cost a 2nd rounder since we don't have one, maybe add a 5th too

The only way I'd want to move up is if we were guaranteed to select Zibanejad, he's the only guy who'd be worth moving up for IMO.

I'd do 18th, Kyle Beach, 3rd to move into the top 9.

Hjammer, Bolland or Sharp to move up 10 Spots??? WTF is wrong with you.

I do that Avs thing. #18 + #43 + 4th Rounder for #11 (if their guy isn't available)

Adding a 2nd round pick has historically moved teams up a few spots in the 15-25 range. There is no way Chicago moves into the top 10 by packaging the 18th overall with a 2nd rounder. Go look at past drafts for comparable trades. Last year LA moved to 15th by packaging their 19th overall with a 2nd rounder. Getting into the top 10 would require adding future 1st round picks or a good prospect/roster player.

The Draft last year was miles ahead of this year. If you look at this year, 10-20 players could be #13 overall

That would not be enough #18, #43, #109 would get you into the 13-14 range.

Honestly, I'd rather trade down and pick up another second rounder. Lots of talent available in a very wide range after the top ten or so.

Who are you looking at drafting? If you're going to trade up in a draft its to specifically draft a certain player that you're after. Not just to draft up

I would only want to move up in the draft if the Hawks could get to 6 or 7. After that, the player taken might not be any better than what we would get at #18.

As for moving down, I would be fine with it, but not all the way down to #25. I think you start to move in to a lower rung of players from 18 to 25.

I would want McNeil or Armia, but they won't be available at #18
