Very satisfying. Boston needs to keep this going though, they can't take their foot off the gas pedal.

By not taking action against Burrows, the NHL has basically implied that they're afraid to suspend anyone in the SC finals; now the flood gates have opened. This series has turned nasty and if favors the Bruins. Factor that in with the Bruins obvious goaltending advantage, and I'd say they've got a legit chance at winning this series.

Boston is blessed that Kesler is hurt enough to be ineffective but not hurt enough to not play, the man is dead weight.

Too bad this only counts as one win, but it was very satisfying.

Its only a game when it comes down to it, but I am sincerely embarrassed as a hockey fan in the way Vancouver Canucks play and their mockery of such a great sport.

I am a kings only full game watcher, so someone can chirp in on all the cheapos as i fast forwarded a bunch of it, but I have never seen a team just 100% give up in the last 5 minutes. Perfect display of poor sportsmanship.

Sami Salo was a +1 while being on the ice at even strength the fourth most of all the Nucks. Odd stat in a game when your team gives up 8
2 were ppg but still odd

I was hoping to see the pouty face again.

The TT hit had me laughing harder than I have laughed during a hockey game in many years.

The SC board is hilarious with vanc fans whining that it was interference and should have been a penalty - right on cue.

I loved watching Lucic punk Burrows last night. First a slash and Burrows goes down like a whiny *****. Then Lucic pops him in the back of the head with a nice heavy swing. That was awesome.

What about the part where he extended his bare fingers toward Burrows, taunting Burrows to bite him?

The Canucks have Burrows, Kesler, Bieksa and Lapierre...all *******, divers and whiners...

The Bruins have McQuaid, Thornton, Lucic, Ference and Chara...all tough guys who will fight and lie down in the street for a teammate.

The Canucks are way different without Rypien, Hordichuk and O'Brien....they have no one to answer the bell.

you don't see a huge difference between the players you mentioned on either side?

those three Vancooter players are junk. they may have been a tougher team, i guess, certainly to your liking. but remove three players from that current lineup and insert these three knuckleheads, and the Canucks aren't in the Finals.

Oh it was absolutely poor taste..

but seriously, i appreciate a nice "whatya gonna do about it" more than the taunting. Burrows looked like he got a taste of his own medicine by the look on his face after Lucic slashed and popped him in one fell swoop. He looked like a pissed off little kid. Good stuff.

EDIT: NM I read that wrong. I can't imagine anyone would replace ANY of the former Canucks for the latter.

Oh and on a sidenote, apparently Brad Richardson and Shane O'Brien are friends. He was Brad's date while he and Stoll threw out the first pitches at the Dodgers game last week.

It is amazing to me that somebody that was just the victim of a questionable hit one week is delivering them one week later.
