I'd let go one of Markov and Wiz, then gun for Richards. Can't afford lacking offensive production from the center spot if Gomez decides to pull a Hollow man again.
I won't pretend to know as much about this team as the rest of you guys, but that article literally told me nothing I didn't already know. In fact, you could even change the name of the team/players in it.
"X team is in a good position to succeed and make the playoffs, but they have Y amount of UFA's coming up which means they will have some new players on the roster next season"
Isn't that pretty much a description of, oh, EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE?

Pretty much.
For a backup, I'd look to Giguere. As long as he's cheap. Should be able to allow Price a couple of more games off. Should instill more influence on the team and he's a franco, so it's good for the media/fans.
TSN provides less insight than the average poster on this board.
Cullen shows his roots as a fantasy guy throughout his piece. What bugs me the most though is quoting stats from behindthenet.ca and not paying attention to behindthenethockey.com's analysis of same.
Every year im always so excited to read the Habs off season game plan article
and each year i wonder why
Nothing we dont already know :
The majority of this board is educated enough about hockey and the current events of the Habs that we don't need articles like that. Note that I said majority, we do have some exceptions.
But to stay on point, yeah I think this article is geared more so towards fantasy players and to the more casual fan looking for some "insight" as to where the team stands.
I love how they describe trying to get Jagr a "bold" move that we the organization normally wouldn't do ... HELLO .. 2 years ago we basically changed our entire team on the fly .. you think that wasn't "bold"?
"...the success of the franchise lnog-term is likely tied to the next generation."
Despite TSN's typo above, that pretty much sums it all up. Subban and Price and the guys to build around. Instead of getting guys like Gomez, I wish we could've gotten more prospects to go along with them, we'd have been much better off.

Ugh. Corsi without context is just as bad as Goals/Assists/Points without context.
Fun fact: Picard's shot differential was good because he faced the easiest opposition of any Habs defenseman.

i agree on that
give price a break and he cold fill in if anything would happen to price

Other fun fact, the most time he ever played was with Subban at the beginning of the year. That was pretty much Subban's soft opposition numbers with Picard along for the ride.
Following this board provides me a lot more information on the habs than TSN or RDS combined, which is why I love it. By the way, glad to have ya here BDTW!

No way. The gas isn't just running out of the tank due to driving, its more like the pipe was cut open. Rapidly declining, there's a reason the Leafs aren't looking to extend.
