Yikes, if you guys get Bryz I would immediately consider the Flyers to be one of the two teams to come out of the east.

I personally think Bryz is better than Voukon, but either way, the Flyers would be one hell of a force to be reckoned with.

Vouch. Him and Khudobin have stances and butterflies that just make my whole hip cradle hurt looking at them sometimes.

Disagree. He had three shut outs in a row in his first three games with the ducks and was balling out of control last play-offs just to keep the Coyotes in their series, even though they did lose it eventually. He played at a more human level against the same opponent this year and Phoenix got swept, which says a lot to me about how much of their success is owed to him.

It'd be awesome if we can fit Bryz in, although that does throw some question marks on this team's view on Bob moving forward.

I'll take either him or Vokoun (who fits better with Bobrovsky's hopeful development curve), but if you put either behind this team, we're looking good.

I agree that Vokoun would be better suited for the current make up of our team and for the future but we MUSTTTT come out of July with one of these two goalies,MUST. I consider Bryz to be more talented then Vokoun but Vokun would fit the make up of our team better. I see absolutly no reason to trade Carter or anyone for that matter for a goalie with these two on the market.

I prefer Vok to. Bryz is a wack job, but he still can play on my team.

just thought of something haha.. but maybe the flyers could trade leighton for the rights to Mr. Bryz. I know it probably wouldn't happen but they do need another NHL goalie if thats what you consider Leighton. It also gets rid of that damn contract

Vokoun isn't even on the Flyers radar because he's all but a lock that he's going to re-sign with Florida. He won't even hit free agency and the Flyers know this. Vokoun was getting heavy interest (Flyers included) at the trade deadline but he refused to waiver his NTC because he wanted to stay in Florida.

Besides Bryzgalov is younger and better then Vokoun.

That article, if true, contradicts itself.

First it's "Flyers have acquired him..." then it's Flyers have acquired his rights."

Flyers aquire Bryzgalov's rights?

http://www.wdel.com/story.php?id=324...ECT1nw;twitter

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired Ilya Bryzgalov in a trade with the Phoenix Coyotes for minor leaguers.

Quote:
The deal is for the rights to negotiate with the goaltender before the unrestricted free agency period begins on July 1. If the Flyers cannot reach a deal with Bryzgalov, he would then become a free agent.

If burke, while being a GM for the ducks, put bryzgalov on waiver, why would bryzgalov be interested to sign with toronto?

It does make sense cause the flyers dont have cap room, so maybe they come to an aggreement with bryz and then look to free up cap space, via a trade.

We actually have a good amount of cap space before we sign anyone. I'd still like to see Leino get a contact and maybe move Carle/Versteeg.

He was put on waivers a a favor to Bryzgalov. He wasn't playing behind Giguere and he was good enough. Burke couldn't work out a trade.
