No. But Im trying to get them to go there, too.

We usually had played in Manville, cause that was a center point for everyone, but AI think we are now going to play at either the one in Hillboro or in readington. The readington one is right off of 202 South. Its across from the Wawa.

The only problem we might run intio is the sign...."No adult play allowed."

But, I only ever see kids there on weekday evenings. So, we'll see.

Hows that rink off of Milltown? Is is set up for Street?

The rink in Milltown is great. It even has lights so people can play at night. the surface is good and fast, the boards are solid, the benches are nice and there is plenty of parking. the only thing that suxxx is that if you shoot the puck over the fence you gotta leg it through some grass. It has great goals, too. no broken netting or any of that assorted crap like chicken wire netting.

By street, I assume you mean rollerblades, right?

I wish we played Roller. The guys I play with don't actually skate, other than a few of us. So, since we wanted more than 3 on 3, we just killed the roller blades. It still is a pretty good time. Its get a little physical , too. Which is funny. One guy actually broke his nose a few years agao. When he had to call out sick from work for a few day, we put him in the sick book with......"B-team Hockey Injury."

We all work on the "B-team" side of our dept. Thats where the B team thing came from.

Getting back to the Milltown rink, can anyone go and play there at any time? Or are there set times?

Milltown is great to play on...the Hillsboro rink is kinda small....HF Inline Hockey Classic: NJ vs. NY ?

or Ice Hockey Classic...either way, count me in.

LOL. Tough pick up games!

There is a schedule for that Milltown rink but it's usually empty.
I think the somerset sports comission controls it. I think the guy who runs it is named Frank something or other. you can find his contact info on the somerset county website. He'd be able to answer all those questions.

If you guys ever wanna play some roller, let me know. I know some people but i'll be in Europe through most of October.

I agree, Im trying to convince some of them to do that. We actually already have Jersey's made up for our pick up teams. LOL. One of the guy's uncle's owns a Sports apparel store and hooked us up. They are pretty cool looking, too.

I'm telling, ya ..we went way over the edge.

I think I just used to call the phone # for the somerset cty parks comm and they would give you the schedule for the week for the rink...from what I recall, the kids would play until around 8:30 PM ish....we would jump on until the lights went out which was usually around 10:15-10:30 PM. Not real sure about weekends...I know some guys used to play there on Sunday mornings.

Extremes is the place to play tho for competitive inline...rumor has it they may close down for the fall session and they are trying to sell the place.

Yeah, I heard the same thing. Too bad, but if they do sell it, hopefully the new owners keep it going.

I'd love to play in a beginner's league somewhere. Count me in, right Terryble?

Hey, a buddy of mine and I are going to be playing there tonight around 7 pm, so if anyone wants to play, come on out! Especially if you're a goalie!

Maybe wear a nametag with your HF name. lol

BTW, I'm from Hillsborough.

I'd love to play you guys in the finals. I'm actually looking to join another team (a B1 or B2 league), if I can find one.

You say that about your goalie like it's a good thing?

I was trying to put a B2 team together but I dont think it's gonna happen...maybe they'll move you guys up to B2 since you went 7-1 reg. season.

Our goalie is effing horrible.

How many guys did you have for B2? I have me and another guy who want to play B2 right now. The other guy is really good (better than me).
